Petteway will graduate in May, so he has 3 options: stay, transfer or go pro (Europe or Developmental League).

Fuller already RS, so I do not see him leaving. Plus, Miles showed faith in him by giving him some starts.

Pitchford is a ?, but probably back unless he graduates early.

Parker is close to home, depends if he graduates. He does have some stiff competition for playing time next year.

I agree with this except the Fuller part. The kid pays a ton of minutes and had a great game at Maryland and then goes MIA the rest of the season. When this team desperately needed a third scorer or anyone that shows a pulse on offense, Fuller never even sniffed the court.

Word is that he just can't "get" the offense..........fwiw...........

Exactly which "offense" would that be. The one where they pass around the perimeter till the shot clock gets down to 3 secs then someone....usually Petteway ....jacks a 3? Or the one where they inbound the ball to the other team?

I agree it's a pretty difficult concept to consider (especially as we've watched this year); I'm only repeating what the coaches have supposedly complained about giving him opportunities and him making the same mistakes over and over again. FWIW.........I've been in the camp of wishing he got more minutes all year.

Are you trying to "blow up" the roster?

Why not. The whole team is garbage. No inside game, no shooters, no guard that can break down a D.

This should not have been a huge letdown but that 8-1 run last year got people so excited. You have the entire team back so it looks like they are going to be really good but I think a lot of you guys knew, deep down, that it would be a struggle to hit 20 wins, right?

I think that most of you knew it would be difficult to get to .500 in conference games right?

I think that it was the non-conference that set the tone.

Sadly, I called it in November. 5 wins in conference. Nailed it.

I know you've been in the Fuller for PT camp. So have I.

It was his defense however supposedly that kept him of the court. Miles said it after the Illinois game most recently that he didn't play nick because of how he would've matched up defensively. That's a poor excuse when he trots Bennie out every start.game to

I think NU will be a lot closer to 5 conference wins than they will be 11 conference wins for the years to come.

I thought we had turned the corner after last year.. No darn reason this program can't get better. The facilities are there. Mills needs to get better recruiting help, or maybe he is in over his head. I don't see next year getting much better, if at all.

GBR!!!

I actually think next year WILL be much better than this year. Maybe I'm clouded by kool-Aid but I believe in Miles and am excited about the recruits coming in.........even though I know it's a major step up for them to contribute at D-1 immediately.

I think the very CALIBER of recruits is an upgrade and I also believe so much of this year was waning confidence and self-inflicted wounds that it almost HAS to turn around...........as we will have more options to put on the court....(still hope for some attrition to land us a Big transfer/juco, though)

In addition, the summer trip to Spain will be an ideal time to mesh the new guys in with returners. It couldn't come at a better or more needed moment.

Very much looking forward to next season!

The adding a big part is very important. Miles needs an inside presence badly.
