jaws
Taking less money to go with Nike, I love it. Maybe the other companies were asking for more in return from Michigan. Like certain rights and such. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I honestly don't understand the infatuation with Nike. I honestly don't like the company and think their shoes are crap. 1 Quote Link to comment
papersun87
Adidas school Mississippi State head coach (and one of the squarest men alive) Dan Mullen wore his Yeezys to SEC Media Days: Your move, Riley. Quote Link to comment
Red Five
I bet Riley could get ahold of some red adidas samba's to wear Quote Link to comment

Mavric
So "sources" say Nike was the lowest bidder but it's the biggest ever. I would guess they're not too worried. To say nothing of the extent to which they were the lowest. Quote Link to comment

Landlord
Michigan's deal is insane and an absolute game changer going forward. Nike was the lowest bidder, but Michigans $15mil/year is now BY FAR their biggest contract. Florida State was biggest before that at 4.4mil/year 1 Quote Link to comment
GSG
Does anyone think the fact that Nike trademarked the "maize" color had anything to do with Michigan signing with them? UM fans have bitched about the "maize" thing for years Quote Link to comment

I have to think Texas' next contract is bigger than UM. Quote Link to comment

I am unsure if this will be the case with Nike, but I wouldn't doubt that they had that in there as well. http://www.bizjournals.com/portland/blog/threads_and_laces/2013/12/how-michigan-remains-no-1-with-adidas.html Quote Link to comment
Landlord
Adidas actually did a pretty good job with the new Miami unveil. Those backgrounds are still a nightmare, but well done. 1 Quote Link to comment
