MichiganDad3
If they get to 2-7 or something like that he may resign. He clearly wasnt ready for this job. I don't see him leaving voluntarily. He is guaranteed $170.000 per month for 5 years. It is tough to walk away from that so close to retirement age. Quote Link to comment

admo
Just walk the Fu__ away. No need for a ugly firing, running out your contract, embarrassing your 'legacy', or hanging on for dear life like a Pelini. Neither you, your assistants, nor your player have any idea how to win and we won't accept that here. You tried, you failed. It is seriously harder to do this than you are capable of. That is as immature as it gets. Quote Link to comment
HuskerCarter
I think it is safe to say Mike Riley's "Nebraska Football Adventure" isn't going to be boring. Quote Link to comment

Landlord
None of those coaches inherited a team that had nine wins the previous year. None of those coaches had career 500 records Oh so it's unreasonable to make direct comparisons to other situations, but somehow it's reasonable to pretend like 6 games is enough of a data set to make comprehensive evaluations? The rest of us will go ahead and deal with the s**t sandwich that reality has hired in the Head Coaching position at DoNU and actually not want this program to go down the tubes. Plus, in your delusional example, all of these coaches made progress and improvements as the season went on. This team, honestly, has regressed significantly since the first game, and players that were here last season have regressed significantly since last fall's campaign as well. That's coaching incompetence right there, and it's baffling while fans of the program would want to support keeping it in place. 2 Quote Link to comment

Roger Dorn
Yeah the buyout for Riley after this year would be ridiculous, plus we're still paying Bo. Riley won't get fired this year and will probably only get fired next year if we don't make a bowl game. Firing him means Eichorst is pretty much is admitting that he was wrong and I don't see that happening. I'm not happy about this loss, or the way the season has been, but you guys are ridiculous. You don't fire a coach after one year. Quote Link to comment
np_husker
We hired the wrong coach, no way around it. And I think it hurts not having someone on the staff with NU ties. No one with experience of Husker success. Harbaugh knows that Michigan can win, he experienced it and can pass that onto his team. 1 Quote Link to comment
Highway6
Idk about you brahs. But I'm so pumped we didn't get shelled by wiscy. So much happier sitting at 2-4 than 5-1. Let me be the first to applaud the administration at unl to right the ship and get the right people in place. This bud is for you.Not srs. Edited October 11, 2015 by Thanks_Tom RR Highway6, your thread would have been a better status update. Merged because it is a complaint about Riley like this thread. Quote Link to comment
