Mavric
May as well just ran QB sneak 3 times in a row. No run creativity. None. Yep. We basically conceded the punt. We did realize we HAD to get a first down, right? Quote Link to comment
URSS
Above average team with average coaching less fundamentals equals heartache. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
We lost the last game because we passed it on the last drive and people bitched. So today they ran it three times on the last drive and people still bitched. You're right. Those two games were exactly the same situation. Exactly. Quote Link to comment
brophog
I could t watch the game. Someone care to fill me in on what stupid thing he did this time? Nothing in particular...we lost and the fans are looking to point the finger... That's exactly it. Last week they tried to get fancy instead of playing field position and this week they tried playing safe and playing field position. At some point you have to learn how to make stops if you're going to win close games. 1 Quote Link to comment

admo
Run it three times while it forces them to use up time outs. How does criticism fall on Langsdorf for that? Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Run it three times while it forces them to use up time outs. How does criticism fall on Langsdorf for that? Yes, run it three times is the right way to go. Running it into the middle of the line where you have basically no chance to get a first down is not. 4 Quote Link to comment
NebraskaHarry
Run it three times while it forces them to use up time outs. How does criticism fall on Langsdorf for that? Because he may as well ran a QB sneak 3 times in a row. No misdirection, no decoys, no creativity in the runs. To quote Jason Peter, "it was garbage". 1 Quote Link to comment

If we tried passing on third down and don't get it, people would still bitch. They were in a lose-lose situation no matter what they did if they didn't get a first down. Quote Link to comment

But passing the ball and running the ball into the middle of the line were not the only two options available. Not to mention the HUGE difference between running the clock down to 11 seconds vs. them still having a minute and a half to do something. Quote Link to comment

No, you simply don't seem to have a clue about situational football. And apparently neither does our coaching staff. Quote Link to comment
seaofred92
I know it isn't really a part of the playbook anymore but I kept waiting for a zone read on that last drive. That or the QB power play that we had been running very successfully all day long Quote Link to comment
blinky
If this is an accurate representation of our fan base then we don't deserve the enjoyment of a successful football team. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerNationNick
Langsdorf, not sure what the F#$@ he was thinking. Sure, running the ball is the good part, less risk of a turnover. I don't have a problem with the option to run it. My issue, is how we didn't attack the edges, where we had most damage, outside of Jano's 50+ yard run. Hit the edge, misdirection QB keeper... SOMETHING other than JUST up the middle 3 times. I could understand if you spread out wide and spread out the defense. My positive spin on this game, we lose in a last second field goal, to a team that I thought would have us by two scores. We play WAY to soft when it comes to opponent's final drives. 1 Quote Link to comment
Walter Sobchak
Yes...the guy is risking his job just to give a middle finger to bunch of overweight armchair quarterbacks...idiot... I cannot lie. I laughed my ass off after reading this. Well done. Quote Link to comment
