I agree that it usually doesn't work out and kids really do need to make wise choices for themselves.

I just find it interesting that both have had commitments to decent programs and now have decommited.

We are the hands down leader for Fitzpatrick. Reese is closer and I'm afraid we don't land him. Either would be great, both would be huge.

He fell in love with coach Strong at Texas. Loves the man he is and his coaching staff. Says he is doing a phenomenal job turning things around there. I really think David Reese goes to Texas.

I concur. I saw an article in the Detroit Free Press that he talked up Texas and how they beat OU and Baylor. He didnt mention anything about his other visits specifically. Hopefully, that is bc the Texas was the most recent visit that he went on, but I have a feeling we are on the outside looking in on this one.

This is one that the coaching staff needs to stay on even if he commits to Texas.

Farmington LB explains why he decommitted from Michigan
Mark Snyder, Detroit Free Press 10:22 p.m. EST December 13, 2015
Farmington linebacker David Reese decommitted from Michigan on Dec. 9 because he felt he had no other option. He's done with high school and was ready to come to Ann Arbor to start in January, but U-M coach Jim Harbaugh wasn't open to that. "They wanted me to come in June, with the regular kids because he was looking forward to taking offensive kids early but I really wanted to start in January," Reese said Sunday.

Article in the Detroit Free Press on this guy. Sure seems like Harbaugh could have let the kid come to Ann Arbor if he has already graduated from high school. Oh well. Their loss. :dunno:
