pigskin barnyard mcgiggles
Still a lot of time. But seriously, I don't know why I'm setting myself for disappointment. Brown will probably miss a chip-shot 3 and out coming up. Neb will drive to the 30. Then backfoot will take a 12 yard sack taking us out of FG range. Or we never see the ball again Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Time to bow up and see how big your nuts are defense, STOP THEM! Quote Link to comment
lo country
Why did he dive with the game on the line. WOW Same thing with TA. And Martinez. Don't run, don't get hurt. Quote Link to comment
Branno
It's so sad that the 1995 team has to witness this kind of effort. WAKE UP Nebraska Administration & Boosters! BRING BACK POWER FOOTBALL! This x1324234235 power football wins championships. Look how many Oregon has trying to be fancy. How many does Stanford have? Wisconsin? Alabama sure does have a few Championships playing power football in the last decade. They don't play power football. They just have an EFFECTIVE running game complimented by the same passing stuff that NU is trying to build. LOL they are very much a run first team. They also don't run sideline to sideline. Nick Saban wouldn't allow this kind of dumb scheme. Run first is completely different than POWER FOOTBALL. Everyone around here wants us to run the ball between the tackles 75% of the time and the other 25% being option. I'm making a point and it's completely over the head of some of you. I don't have a problem with passing, but you can't go 75% pass and 25% run (not real numbers, but damn if it doesn't feel like it) and expect to win most games let alone championships. Funny I don't see any Spread/West Coast finesse teams winning them... USC under Carroll. (West Coast) Texas with Vince Young (Spread) Florida with Tebow (Spread) Bama won all 3 with Pro Style/West Coast Yes but all those programs easily get top talent but with the type of talent that NEBRASKA can only get, you have to run a simple offense. A power run offense with option, play action passing, are all simple schemes to coach with 2 and 3 star recruits. Quote Link to comment
