GBRedneck
Eichorst is looking like a real jackass now. "Championships are the standard" Pederson 2.0 Sadly, I think Pederson hired a better coach. I think you're right. My gawd, that is sad. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
Ok guys, i'm going to go watch the game and drink some beers. I'm fed up with this team and coaching staff so far. Maybe we can turn it around this half but I highly doubt it. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaHarry
Now we're a joke.... This started a long time ago....... You must have lost a lot of money on that game last year... Quote Link to comment
Saunders
Now we're a joke.... Don't get me wrong, we ARE a joke, but I don't think a tweet from some guy I've never heard of validates that fact. He's a grantland analyst and the guy who started Dr. Saturday. Quote Link to comment
Branno
Don't worry guys, we will make an adjustment at the half so we only lose by a few points. #closelossesbetterthanwins 1 Quote Link to comment
huskerfan92
So which coach is to blame for Dzuris tackling the facemask? Let's hear it Huskerboard. Coaches teach fundamentals. Maybe you've heard of this. But coaches are not the ones who fail to execute on the field. We still have the same undisciplined players that plagued us for years. This is a culture thing that won't be fixed until we get new and better players. Yeah, teaching and coaching players to execute is something that players are supposed to do themselves, I guess. Maybe the players could start teaching each other how to execute? Somebody's gotta do it. You can teach all you want, they don't have any control if they mess up on gameday. You are right, someone has to do it, the last staff didn't teach them crap when it came to fundamentals. Maybe having our back up QB throw 18 times in the first half isn't the right way to control what happens on gameday. Quote Link to comment
GOAT
If we lose today...IF.... I guarantee you the boosters will start getting involved. This would be an absolutely historical loss for the program today. The boosters would have no choice but to get involved, and because of this Eichorst will have no choice but to safe face and fire this coaching staff at the end of year, and start over. Won't happen...sorry, but I just do not see any chance of this happening! Something needs to be done, but this will not! Sorry, I didn't read The Duke's entire post. I agree that boosters will get involved and pressure Eichorst, but no way will Eichorst fire Riley. No way. Quote Link to comment
NowledgeableFan
Let's hope Barney Fife has a hot hand this half... Quote Link to comment
Saunders
Now we're a joke.... This started a long time ago....... Do you not see the fallacy of trying to justify this season by continually pointing out Bo? That doesn't absolve what we're seeing this year. Quote Link to comment

Yea. These 9 win kids suck.........my a$$. Its coaching folks. Well actually it's lack of coaching.... We would be a bad 9 win team if we still had Ameer and Randy just like we were last year. We don't have anyone that is anywhere close to those two on this team and now the same issues that have always been here are now rearing their ugly head. We just don't have a special player on each side of the ball to make up for a subpar OL and no depth on the front 7.Part of it. Oline is the biggest problem on offense. Quote Link to comment
WhatDoIKnow
Down 12. I hope they settle Fyfe down at halftime. He started well but looks like he got rattled out there. Quote Link to comment
The Maudfather
To the pepole that day you can't fire a coach after 1 year because it sends the wrong message to potential coaches: wouldn't we be sending the message that 3-9 is absolutely unacceptable at a place like Nebraska? 3 Quote Link to comment
AFhusker
So which coach is to blame for Dzuris tackling the facemask? Let's hear it Huskerboard. Coaches teach fundamentals. Maybe you've heard of this. I've not heard of this before. What are these fundamentals you speak of? Do juniors and seniors learn their fundamentals and techniques from coaches in their first two -three years in the program, or does a coaching staff teach juniors and seniors all new fundamentals and techniques in a few months of "actual coaching"? I realize the staff has been hired 10 months ago, but how much actual time have these guys had to rebuild these players fundamentals? Second question. Are we sure these players are good enough to be fundamentally sound, techni8cally sufficient football players? I swear you've found a way to plus one all your own posts. Let's see Bo took a 5-7 to 9-3 in 10 months. Uban Meyer took a 6-6 team to undefeated in 10 months. How long did it take Stoops? Harbaugh? Florida? This blame Bo crap is give him time, get his own players and lash out at anyone who disagrees with you is old hat. Get of your horse man. This is Purdue for god sakes. Dear lord, Bo was left NFL talent such as Suh and Amukamera along with a good OL and RB's. This team may have one NFL player and that would be Westy as a slot WR. Nobody else comes even close to sniffing the NFL. This team is looking less talented than the 2004 team that Frank left us and that isn't an easy accomplishment. Quote Link to comment

Second question. Are we sure these players are good enough to be fundamentally sound, technically sufficient football players? 1. They've had enough time to not regress this bad. There's countless examples. 2. Yes, and every analyst in the country seemed to think so. The regression is troubling. I wonder how much this team buys in to the new coaching staff. I know I'm no "analyst" but it appears there are some question marks in both the talent and effort department. Analsysts are wrong quite often. Just like the rest of us. A couple days ago, I saw someone post a long list of analysts that endorsed the Riley hire as a great move. They were all wrong. Quote Link to comment
