lo country
But it's not the coaches fault at all. Yea. These 9 win kids suck.........my a$$. Its coaching folks. Well actually it's lack of coaching.... 1 Quote Link to comment
ndobney
According to the Remsey's index Nebraska just played its worst half of football in its 100 plus year history 1 Quote Link to comment
GOAT
Screw waiting till the end of the season. This entire staff should be fired TODAY, so that we can start our coaching search. Oh, that's right, Eichorst is in charge. Never mind. MR can consult with GoldenSorry this is just dumb. You can't fire a coaching staff after 1 year. Why? Because we might lose to purdue and go 3-9? So if the next coach is bad should we fire him after 1 year also. Let's not even fire him after 1 year. Let's just give him a 1 year contract. No, let's get a coach that brings the running game back to lincoln, and someone that can teach them how to at least line up on defense. A scheme that doesn't have us ranked dead last vs. the pass. There are HS coaches that could lead us to a win over flipping PURDUE. No one could be this bad. Lesson learned: don't hire a career .500 coach and expect to win championships. 2 Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
guys, if we lose today we'll be last in the Big Ten West. LAST. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan92
Walk-on QB who's barely played....... Of course you should call 18 passes and 19 runs Have you seen our run blocking ??? Have you watched this game? The few times we've done a simple outside run with Newby he's broken it for big gains. It's when we try to run it up the middle that we have trouble. WHICH IS THE CASE EVERY GAME. These coaches still haven't figured out that the outside run is our best friend. Quote Link to comment

Saunders
I realize the staff has been hired 10 months ago, but how much actual time have these guys had to rebuild these players fundamentals? Second question. Are we sure these players are good enough to be fundamentally sound, technically sufficient football players? 1. They've had enough time to not regress this bad. There's countless examples. 2. Yes, and every analyst in the country seemed to think so. Quote Link to comment

Coaches definitely shoulder blame put people are acting like this team has the talent to win the whole Big Ten. 1 Quote Link to comment
brophog
The players have responsibilities, but it's ultimately on the coaches. If they can't get this team to perform, it's still their fault. That's how leadership works. It was Bo's fault we got blown out, and it's this staff's fault we're a bad football team right now. We don't have elite talent, but Purdue is like Kansas bad. No excuse. Let's be fair. Kansas has more conference wins the last three years. Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
Eichorst is looking like a real jackass now. "Championships are the standard" Eichorst has always been a horses rear end in my mind. I have never liked the guy and no i'm not Bo Pelini. 1 Quote Link to comment

We hired a "loser" for all intensive purposes. Why does/did anyone expect him to be the guy. It boggles the mind. 2 Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
Guys, there's a lot of good football teams playing today. If you want to watch good football, better watch someone else. You're not going to find it here. Quote Link to comment
KazLong
Love how ESPN says the Big 10 is weak... Have they looked at the rankings? Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
I don't understand the people who say the players don't want to be here...if you've been an athlete before, you know at some point your athletic juices kick in and your goal is to go out there and look like you are the best person on the field/court etc..you don't go out there and say, hey, since my coach got fired i'm going to go out there and look like an idiot... makes no sense. Football is a team sport. If everyone is not on the same page, the wheels come off. All it takes is for a couple people not to "buy in to the system" and the system ends up being f*cked. The most important thing Riley had to do was get wins quick to get a buy in from the team. Going 3-5 and now losing to Purdue has guys starting to agree with the "nay sayers" on this team.... I agree. If the players were like the fans, they were not sold on a 500 coach that hired a bunch of weak assistant coaches. This season has reinforced our doubts. Quote Link to comment
