Get real guys, Langsdorf called a great game. We out yarded them by about 150 yards, held a big time of possession advantage, they did not convert a 3rd down. All the coaches did a great job of putting the players in position to win. We just needed to replace one guy and we win by 21 or more. The future has never been brighter in the last 15 years.

NU never led at one point in that game. For 26 of the 30 minutes of the 2nd half, Iowa led by 11 points. NU was not threatening to win that game. Did the cold weather make it look like you were watching a different game?

All due to mistakes by one player and the tossing of Gerry. The playcalling was pretty damn good all game long.

You go boy! Way to throw the players under the bus. God know the coaches weren't seeing the same thing and calling mostly passing plays... Definitely only one player that cost is the game. PASS PLAYS FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Pass plays beat Michigan St, brought us back against Miami, kept us in the game against Iowa. So we should ignor the strength of the team (our recievers) ranked as the best in the B10 and run the ball with our backs?????????? Really! I have no words for that.

If your QB cannot reliably get them the ball, then are they still a strength?

He can when he sets his feet, You should ask someone to tell you the story about the last drive against Michigan St. It will be a classic some day.

Yep, a true classic to turn a 4-8 season into 5-7. Hip hip...

I learned that a team that gains 250 yards of offense and goes 0 for 9 on 3rd down is 'steady and solid' according to the media.

I also learned that when a team fumbles 3 times, with another nullified by an unrelated penalty, it's 'mistake-free' execution

It was crazy how many times this was repeated. Iowa was a long way from mistake free.

PASSSSSSSSESSSSSSSSS FORRRRRREEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Honestly though dude. You're the one saying TA sucks. If your QB is throwing the game away, and you were making a million dollars to coach, wouldn't you maybe call fewer passes?

You play with what ya got.
True. Perhaps playing to their strengths and not their weakness should be considered?
Blah Blah Blah That's crap, we don't have the O-line to be one dimensional or the backs! live in the real world.

Armstrong has enough time on each play to sit down and look at a map. The o-line is more than adequate

You should really watch the games, he is running for his life on most pass plays.
How long do you expect guys to hold a block? TA is best when he makes split decisions not when he has time to think about things. He seems to be very indecisive when too many choices are presented. I think the o line is too good and thus give Tommy too much time to think.

Other than using our 240lb IB on outside zone plays, never giving Janovich a carry, calling deep passes into the stiff wind, failing to use tempo on Iowa in the 4th quarter....

We moved the ball all game long except when Tommy got stupid and gave it back to Iowa. Just because Langsdorf did not do it the way to please you and others did not stop the offense from being productive.
First rule of leadership, everything is your fault.

Langsdorf didn't call a game to his QB's strengths and we lost. His QB's threw 13 picks in the last 4 games. It's as much on the QB gurus getting paid millions as it is the players.

But at some point Armstrong has to look at the field where he's thinking about throwing the ball and say to himself, "golly, there's a line backer/safety floating in front of me that is in my throwing lane. Maybe I shouldn't throw the ball there and look for a different option"

At some point the coaches "should" take the input that has been given to them by countless sources and run the ball. But they won't. Langsdorf's post game comment about running the ball was sickening.

Coming into the Iowa game, the turnover difference between the two teams was one of the more dramatically different stats. If our opponent is patient, we will self destruct because our coaches will continue our game plan down that path.

They did run the ball numerous times. We ran the ball 10 more times than Iowa for 15 less yards. Would those countless sources be internet genius's????????
