wiuhusker
Tough news for Cubs fans today as they announced that Schwarber has a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee and is out for the year. Even as a Cards fan this is unfortunate to see. One of the bright young talents of the MLB. Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
Cubs have plenty of talent left to have a great season. That being said if this curse thing ever had legs... Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
I was so stoked to watch him this year. Kyle Schwarber out for season with torn ACL and LCL Quote Link to comment
Husker John
5th HR today in first four major league games. Quote Link to comment

It really sucks but I agree with you. It can still be a very special year. I like the lineup they used yesterday with players in those positions. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Same ol' John Lester.... Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
5th HR today in first four major league games. Still blazing hot. 7 HRs in his first 6 games. The guy has 9 hits, 7 of which left the park, crazy. Quote Link to comment

Mavric
This has to be a record.... Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
Same ol' John Lester.... Addison Russell - Half Man/HALF AMAZING Lester didn't have the greatest outing. Last year he started off the same way then settled down in May for an OK year. I was hoping he would come out on fire this year but...well.... Obviously his offense didn't help him out that much until finally in the 7th and 8th innings. Once again, the Cubs show why they are going to be so much fun to watch this year. 1 Quote Link to comment

Yeah BRB I've never really been a huge Lester fan. He did have a nice season though last year though and you can't deny him that. However the 7 earned runs in his 2 playoff losses last year. Ugh. It just seems as if he doesn't deliver when it's crunch time or when the stage is bigger. I am hopeful though that this playoff run will be different for him. Still am super bummed about Schwarber but yes we are going to be a blast to watch again this year! Quote Link to comment
Enhance
Addison Russell - Half Man/HALF AMAZING I was there for opening night Monday and that homer was just a thing of beauty. Incredible. And the place went nuts. You would've thought it was Game 7 of the NLCS. Quote Link to comment

Cubs- 5 Reds- 1 Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
Yeah. Pat Hughes tonight was saying that after that home run it was like a playoff atmosphere. Btw....make that 8-1 Cubs. Reds pitcher threw 57 pitches in the first inning. Quote Link to comment
