Gun Control

There are some shootings that are justified as self defense.

Today's KY shooter was absolutely mentally ill.   Supposed information out about his Reddit account(s) gives much more insights into what he was about.

the guy in texas only claimed self defense.  he posted that he was going to do that.   he drove through a red light to get into the protesters, then shot someone who wasn't pointing a gun at him.   the only reason he will get off is because the far right controls texas governement and he shot a BLM protesters.   if a BLM guy did the same and drove into a maga crowd or a cpac event would you say he was justified?

1.  The man was moronic for his posts and even being there.  Apparently, the BLM crew was near or outside his place of residents.  He made so many terrible choices it's an easy Austin conviction.

2.  As interesting, I'd be curious, in the same exact scenario/facts but a more conservative area, is he found guilty at all?  I do not know.

3.  If indeed there is irrefutable evidence there was ZERO self defense required or justified, there is not a context I'd a. condone the shooting or b. advise people to be in that situation.  Apparently, for b., BLM was protesting right near his place of residents.

4.  Sadly relevant for today, the mentally ill KY mass shooter had deep political convictions to one side.  People were slaughtered.

for 1 through 3....i don't see you answering whether if the situations were reversed you would or would not say the guy was justified for "standing his ground"

for 4.   do you see anyone saying that he/she/it (been to the doctors and haven't seen the reports yet) was justified like you see on the far right for the guy in texas?

#3 addresses it.

#4 - I see more avoidance here of what this person was about, belief systems etc.  He was deeply disturbed and decided to kill multiple people.  He seemed to have two Reddit names; not difficult to see his leanings and lunacy.

wtf?   WHAT AVOIDANCE?    WHERE THE HELL DID I DEFEND THE NUT IN KENTUCKY?  i asked where is everyone on the left defending that nut like the people on the right are defending the murderer in Texas and you come back with that BS?   you must be avoiding something with that response.

I did not say you defend him.  No one here is defending him.  I said avoidance of key information.  The root of this issue.

Tell me the objective facts you know about the shooter.  Have you looked into them?  I have.  I've looked more intently at this mentally ill person than the young man in TN who shot up a Christian school.  I don't care if it's a straight male or male who thinks he's a girl.  Both were disturbed deeply and committed HORRIFIC acts.  The root.

Can you tell me what this person stood for?  He's the one who killed multiple people and wounded others.  What was he about?

the guy in kentucky?   or the guy in texas?   the guy in kentucky was nuts and shouldn't have had any guns by any sensible red fglag laws.   how the f#&% do you say anyoone defended that?   the guy in texas was essentially the same but the right defends him because he shot someone on the left  and shed the correct crocodile tears.  but he had it planned out and declared his intent just as the kentucky guy did.    difference is you and the far right defend the guy in texas

Where in me typing "not defending" the KY shooter continues to lend this response from you?

Maybe re-read my statements on Mr. TX.  I've stated multiple times his idiocy for his prior posts before that fateful night.  He should've avoided the situation.  It seems like BLM was marching/protesting very near his place of residence.  The man he shot had a legal right to carry a rifle in TX.  He was found guilty in a trial of his peers in Austin.  He may very well get a pardon from the governor.

I can infer (your omission and pivot) you do see the facts for Mr. KY or know of some of the things he was about.  Mentally and morally bankrupt.  A continued theme from these shootings.

There are countries with strict moral and religious codes that don't have this level of gun violence.

There are secular and socialist countries that don't have this level of gun violence.

All countries have similar commonalities of mental illness.

So what's really up with the U.S.?  Why are we so defined by our guns?
