Party B will tell you 'the way we've always done it' is the true way, and in 10, 20, 50 or 100 years history and the forever-snail's pace of the excavating of truth bit by bit will look back with rightful scorn and condemnation.

And yet here we are with the moral decay from the progressive agenda.  Still looking at effects vs the cause.  Banning bazookas didn't stop people from being murdered by mentally ill people...next tool in line.

Advancement/progress > progressive agenda

I think you've been provided with numerous responses pointing out why your beliefs aren't just out of touch with reality, but grossly wrong. The result of a brain that has succumbed to Newsmax and Fox News. A poster child for what happens when a voter goes down a YouTube rabbit hole.

Which is why my central thesis is to simply give up on voters like you. There is no hope for them, no reason to believe they will change.

My proposal is to simply stop trying to save Red America: if voters like you want to ban books, let them. If you want to dictate that being LGTBQ is an abomination, let them. If they want to allow gun violence to slaughter their school children, let their s#!tty healthcare lead to low life expectancy, push for trickle down tax policy causing their population to live in poverty, let them.

And the more giving into the agenda you cherish, the further the country declines.  The olympic level mental gymnastics allow you continued observance of your paradigms.

Popular doesn't mean correct.  The more traction the progressive agenda, the further the decay.  The latest mass shooter in KY was an ardent follower of the progressive agenda.

Ban books?  How about no sexually explicit content in public school libraries for pre-teens?  Representing it rightly takes more thought, has more words to it, and doesn't make a case for the agenda being good.  Gun violence we've been over.  You already banned bazookas.  Now you want ARs when handguns cause more murders than any firearm platform - data and root causes aren't easy.  Abomination?  The people aren't.  The agenda pushing these people, and championing it, is the issue.  Impoverished lifestyles?  You mean like San Fran's homeless problem?  What conservative government should we blame that toilet-bowl city on?

The lazy oversimplifications aren't convincing anyone.  They may galvanize people in the leftist fold, but they're seen objectively for what they are beyond that.

And yet we have the Catholic Church and the Southern Baptist church with major pedophilia problems from leadership.  We have a Republican/conservative :laughpound party that just elected a President that has been a sexual predator for his entire adult life.  He's cheated on every wife he's ever had.  He brags about grabbing random women by the pu&&y.  He's made comments about the one thing he and his daughter have in common is sex.  He was friends with a known sex trafficker.

One of the leaders of the part in congress covered up sexual abuse in a previous job.

Another leader of the party in congress has had multiple affairs with trainers at her gym.

Another has been accused of having sexual relationships with under age girls.

Meanwhile, this party still LOVES the ex President that was described above and wants him voted BACK in as President.  This party keeps electing the rest of the leaders that have been mentioned.

This party refuses to raise the age of marriage in some red states.

This party is the one trying their best to claim that the other party is filled with sexual preditors and pedafiles.

This mantra from you here is getting old and tired.  It's done nothing other than prove that you have consumed a huge amount of right wing propaganda that is put out for no other reason than to get you angry and scared of those big mean liberals that want to do nothing but destroy everything that is good in the world.  Which is total BS.

It's laughable that Republicans even think they can try to claim the moral high ground with any of this after what we have seen from Trump and the MAGAt crowd the last 6-7 years.

You continue to go find the weirdest sexual things you can find...that 99% of the world never experiences....and claiming it's proof of liberal destruction of our society.  It's really weird your obsession with this and the extreme propaganda you are consuming.

it was ok when it was kids being killed in school...but when it's his friends who get shot.....

I hope you're not surprised (damn autocorrect), this is the way GOPers think, and they've exhibited it time and time again.  - Nothing is important unless it directly impacts them. They refuse gun safety laws until their friends get shot, they dehumanize and refuse rights to the lgbtq community until they have a child that grows up gay. They deny immigration until they need a cheap employee. They are anti-abortion until their 16 year old daughter gets knocked up, or even better, one of their mistresses. They want that pipeline built until it is going through their yard or their water source. It'd be funny if it wasn't so disturbing.

So, republicans want 12 year olds to marry but not read books.

and, it’s democrats that are the p.

defund the books and keep the kids pregnant seems to be an odd rallying cry for the republicans...but here we are.  maybe the show me state has a creepier meaning than i realized.

Well...there's less need for abortion if the 12 year old is already married.  With the kids, they won't have time to read books anyway.

There are no amount of data points I can link, no number of factual sources I can provide that is going to change your pre-determined mindset.

However, what I can do is thank you. Your belief system - exemplified by right wing politicians you vote for - absolutely terrifies people to the point where Republicans are losing elections they have no business losing. You've pushed suburban women away from your party at unrecoverable rates. You've lost the vast majority of voters under the age of 35; a generation of voters who will no longer vote for Conservatives. Instead of getting more conservative as they age, middle aged voters and younger are getting more liberal with no signs of changing.

So please: keep it up. Spread your message far and wide. Please keep voting for people to ban books, please keep making booogiemen out of harmless marginalized people. Go to every swing state and sing it from the rooftops.

Count me in with this group.  Between gun control, generally treating people in a deplorable way, and other factors, I have no desire to vote for Republicans on the ballot.
