Big red surfers
I gotta feeling some school stuck in mediocrity for some time might throw a bank at him and see if he will bite. Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
Wow. Didnt see this coming during the season but after yesterday i guess it happens. Quote Link to comment
Creed
Heard on the radio he would not likely take another coaching position. He is 63, for one. Also, taking a coaching job would affect his buy out amount from LSU. Quote Link to comment

huKSer
LSU lost on the last play - disputed at that - to Auburn. Bo's teams lost in blow outs Quote Link to comment

Yep, he's gotta be beyond comfortable financially. Big time coach making 3/4 million on average for the last 15 years plus I am sure his buyout is multi-million. Quote Link to comment

We fired the guy that went: 9-4 10-4 10-4 9-4 10-4 9-4 9-3 What did you expect? Also zero conference championships in that timeline. Kind of the difference between 9-4 and 11-2 Quote Link to comment
mrandyk
Literally laughed out loud when I saw that Miles was fired. He was carried off the field by his players following their season ending win against A&M and the AD insisted they were committed to Miles. You don't turn around and fire him four games into the next season for losing to a current top-10 team and a split second loss at a tough conference opponent. Quote Link to comment
Xmas32
I have to smile at the former Wisky D coordinator who left a now 4-0 team to be on a staff where his head coach was just fired. Hard to blame Aranda for making the move as LSU just about tripled his salary. Their defense has been pretty good all things considered. Also, it looks like his contract isn't tied to Miles. http://www.buckys5thquarter.com/2016/1/2/10702692/dave-aranda-salary-lsu-football-wisconsin-badgers Quote Link to comment
Kiyoat Husker
Those of you hoping Miles would come to Nebraska must be forgetting about his tenure at OkSU. Sex and money for recruits, and academic fraud for players. Although he's never been implicated for any of that at LSU, ... It's the SEC. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
Quite honestly, I'm not sure how I would feel if I were an LSU fan. Dang.....that's not a bad record with an NC and two conference championships. He's still recruiting very well and I haven't heard of any player issues. Quote Link to comment
junior4949
Wasn't it just last week where Rick Nudeweasel said Briles would be at LSU next year? Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
So....let's say next week they announce they hired Art Briles. He should be able to immediately be as involved as he wants to be in the program as far as recruiting, input into the team and game planning...etc.....correct? Heck, I doubt if it would happen. But, he could step in immediately as head coach couldn't he? Quote Link to comment

Kind of the difference between 9-4 and 11-2 We all know why Nebraska fired Bo. But looking solely at W/L records like Zoogs implied, Les Miles firing is comparable to a degree. Quote Link to comment
junior4949
Since 2012, Miles was something like 15-12 in games against SEC opponents. I've actually been somewhat impressed he was able to hang on as long as he did. Miles is a great recruiter, but he lacks coaching skills. Quote Link to comment
