Housing has been a huge issue in our area to attract people/workers to continue to grow. We have been using a program that the state helps us with grants to build housing. Supposedly, the new governor has made it a priority that he absolutely opposes the program and it will not be funded while he is in office. It’s a great program where they fund it once and we keep using the same funds over and over to build housing. State, county and community grow the tax base. People can move here and get jobs. Great job Pillen. This was a meeting full of nothing but republicans…other than me. I found the discussion very refreshing in that these people were actually intelligently discussing a political program and going against a republican…..in an 80%+ Republican area. Link to comment
