The Republican Utopia

The bolded is a pretty ridiculous statement. I know plenty of reasonable Republicans, and some Democrats that are certifiable nutjobs.  There are reasonable and unreasonable people in each party.

Attacking children who survived a school shooting seems akin to protesting soldiers funerals.

Associated Press Wire:  President Trump's babysitters were rushed to the hospital today due to massive strokes.  It is very odd that a group of people all have them at the same time.....This evening, Trump is scheduled to sign an order banning the CDC from studying the mysterious case.

Experts predict the Democratic candidate in West Virginia will spike up in the polls this week.

I posted this because I found it interesting that some countries that some people would think are much more socialistic than us, are listed as a higher level of Democracy than the US.

In fact, we are listed as a "flawed Democracy"....and it keeps getting worse.

Perhaps related:  Finland, which is ranked as 'full democracy' has solved their homeless crisis by:

Multiple choice quiz here:

1.  Busing the homeless to Sweden

2.  Saying we have no homeless, just dwelling challenged individuals

3.  Placing them in apartments of their very own

4.  Building a massive wall to keep homeless out and moving homeless people to the other side of the wall

GOP state candidate refuses to apologize for calling Parkland student a 'communist pig'

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/381775-gop-state-candidate-refuses-to-apologize-for-calling-parkland

"A Republican candidate for the Massachusetts House says he won’t apologize after attacking a student survivor of the Parkland, Fla., school shooting, calling David Hogg a “communist pig.” Ron Beaty has been tweeting about Hogg, who has become an outspoken gun control advocate after a gunman killed 17 people inside his high school in February. The county commissioner in Barnstable, Mass., called the teenager “an absolute idiot,” “a two bit punk” and a “self-promoting opportunistic rat” in the past week."

Republicans are basically Westboro Baptist Church members.

You completely missed my point. Those Republicans might be nutjobs, but not all are.

That's like saying Democrats are all pedophiles and sex offenders because Anthony Weiner is a Democrat.

General statements are general for a reason. It goes without saying that nobody is literally claiming that every single self-identified Republican in the United States is equivalent to members of a hate group. You're being defensive for no reason, but then you're offering up a counter analogy based off of a single data point when we're currently at 29 pages of bonkers s#!t done by Republican politicans/news media in the last year.

So stating a point is getting defensive if it's something different than your views but it's brilliant logic if you agree with those views?

Got it. Sorry, I'm new here. I'll try better to fall in line.

p.s. I'm independent but I felt like the conservative view was largely underrepresented here. If anyone was willing I'm sure they could find 30 pages of stupid things liberals did in a year under Obama.

You are taking a non-literal statement as if it were literal.

No one's telling you to fall in line.

As a conservative, I would love more conservative views expressed here.

However, I think being "conservative" and being "Republican" is being confused here.  They aren't the same thing.  From my interpretation of the conversation, you are talking about Republicans.

There are conservatives on this site.  I will admit, there are very few Republicans.

PS....that's why this thread is titled "Republican Utopia" and not "Conservative Utopia".
