commando
if he has nothing to hide...why not talk? if trump has nothing to hide..why tell bannon to clam up? to say it smells fishy is an understatement. maybe more like a fish killed lake on a hot summer day? Link to comment
NM11046
Read somewhere that he might be hesitant to share details with the Congressional probe cuz they will be leaked back to Trump’s camp. Now I dont think thats likely the case but I do think that is a benefit to him not talking to the “Nunes group”. Especially when his counsel there also represents other in this situation. Kiyoat Husker
Bannon is still going to be questioned by Mueller. He just cut a deal today that allowed a sit-down rather than a grand jury (where his lawyer would not be present). Possibly part of the deal was that he blow off the Congressional subpoena? I see that as a win-win, as congressional investigations can sometimes undermine a DOJ investigation. That's how Olliver North got off scott free. Mueller is playing chess here IMO. Link to comment
Danny Bateman
Can he do that? Link to comment

Well Nunes is the one feeding information to Trump under the table and, when caught, says it left wing accusations that are just politically motivated and refuses to recuse himself. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/so-about-that-nunes-recusal/article/2626445 Link to comment

Can't wait for Andrew Janz to oust him in November. Link to comment

On the Mueller front, yes. Mueller is smart enough to know that if Bannon refuses to answer questions for congress, he will pull out all stops to find out why. Use congress's investigation to find out where the secrets are. Edited January 17, 2018 by BigRedBuster 2 Link to comment
Danny Bateman
Well, this would be a new twist. Can't say I'm terribly surprised if this has legs. 4 Link to comment

NM11046
Wittes & Heffernan never let me down. Give one or both of them a follow for "cannons' when something's about to drop on the Russia investigation. Link to comment
