QMany
As Trump et al continue their disinformation campaign, please remember about Paul Manafort: He was the Trump Campaign Manager. He has a home in Trump Tower. His daughters texted each other that he has "no moral or legal compass" and "Don't fool yourself, that money we have is blood money." He was at the meeting with Russians about adoptions (Magnitsky Act) and/or dirt on Hillary Clinton. Took over $12M from Ukraine's pro-Russia Party of Regions. Failed to register with the DOJ as a Foreign Agent or disclose his lobbying. Changed the Republican platform re: Ukraine. And much more... And it won't end with Manfort. Quote Jason Maloni, a Manafort spokesman, suggested that what Flynn did was worse. “Paul’s work ended well before he joined Candidate Trump’s campaign,” Maloni said in a statement. “Unlike Flynn, Paul was not simultaneously working as a foreign agent while he was working for Trump.” 2 Link to comment
knapplc
Remember, the Manafort indictment is just a tactic. The goal is to get him to flip on the rest, and so on and so on up the chain until they get to... wherever the top is. This is only just beginning. Mueller has only been on the job for five months. We have a long way to go - maybe enough time for the Republicans to find their spines and actually do something about this. 3 Link to comment
knapplc
The indictment has been made public. Accusations include hiding $78 million, money laundering, fraud, tax evasion, conspiracy and lying to the feds. All of these allegations are tied to allies of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. So far, there has been no direct link in the indictment to the 2016 Presidential campaign. 2 Link to comment
BigRedBuster
This is about to get even much more interesting. If Manafort starts squealing to save his own ass, I could see at minimum Flynn going down along with Donnie JR. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if people like Manafort, Flynn, Gates...etc. were doing all of this and Trump had no clue. Meanwhile, Donnie JR is the idiot son in the middle that had absolutely no clue what he was doing but still deep in the middle of it. Link to comment
Fru
So essentially they want him to be their Henry Hill. Link to comment

Not to mention even if it were true (which is an "IF" the size of Russia), it's still a damning indictment on Trump's incompetence and inability to lead. 4 Link to comment

Very small....but, it still wouldn't surprise me because the guy is a clueless idiot. 6 minutes ago, VectorVictor said: Not to mention even if it were true (which is an "IF" the size of Russia), it's still a damning indictment on Trump's incompetence and inability to lead. knapplc
Some of the language in the Manafort/Gates indictment is intentionally vague, but it's clear this is just a first step. And frankly, the George Popadopolous story appears to be the larger one right now: 1 Link to comment
