Landlord
I'm lucky enough to be able to cover B1G Football Media Days for the second year in a row for /r/cfb on reddit. Unfortunately NU didn't attend last year with Sam having just passed away prior, but they should be in attendance this year and there's all sorts of things to be learned and to sate the appetites until the season begins. So, what do you want to know? Post with your specific interests in: Teams Players Storylines Conference issues 3 Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
Ask the players: Are you seeing players working harder this off season? Are you experiencing a renewed commitment to being all in 110%? Does the team have better chemistry this year?Ask the coaches: How committed do you feel the team is? Are you excited for how your team can do this year? Do you like your team? 2 Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
On a serious note: How do you see replacing Elliot on the staff? Do you see any changes to how rotations on the O Line will be handled? How do you see changing the fall camp schedule affecting how you prepare for the season? Do you believe the changes in recruiting rules (visits) have positively affected how successful you can be recruiting? 1 Quote Link to comment
84HuskerLaw
Not sure you can really get an honest answer as there is always a tendency to try to be positive and avoid any critical statements but: How do the coaches and AD officials assess our overall depth and recruiting to improve the talent (yes, I suppose that's the best word to use to describe our football team's quality and quantity of championship caliber players) since we made the coaching regime change 2 and half years ago? This one gives us the most insight into whether the program is moving up and forward or not. Quote Link to comment

JJ Husker
Ask Diaco or MR how the defense is progressing in the new system. Will we see a more aggressive/attacking style defense and will it be more effective at forcing turnovers and getting the opponents offense off the field. Ask Cavanaugh, Langsdorf, MR and/or an offensive lineman how the QB change and seemingly better ability to run the offense they really want will affect the OL play. Do they expect to complete a higher percentage passes while also being able to rush the ball more effectively? Are defenses going to have to be more honest and quit putting 8+ in the box against us. 1 Quote Link to comment
famoustitles
Mike Riley: if you were stranded on an island which assistant coach would you want to be stranded with? And why? 1 Quote Link to comment
broganreynik
For everyone: What movie would you have played in Memorial Stadium? For the coaches: with feminism, equality, and rape culture being largely on the minds of society, have you noticed any shifts in general banter/locker room talk? For the players: which loss from last year would be the sweetest to avenge and why? (Obvious Ohio State answer. I just want to hear them fired up to take them down) For coaches and players: how has Tanner approached summer workouts differently than Tommy? How has the team responded to his leadership? Coaches: how does the early signing period effect your in-season recruiting? Will it seem like a free for all with the unsigned prospects? Did you do anything to ease Scott Booker into his new role? How will his experience coaching the line with Diaco translate to coaching safeties? How do the recent deaths in the program (Sam, Milt, Elliott) effect preparation and focus? 1 Quote Link to comment
NM11046
We keep hearing about the unmatched scientific training & recovery program (Nebraska Athletic Performance Lab) as well as the nutrition support there at UNL: Has this changed coaching/practice philosophies in the last year? It's cool for sure - but does it translate to improved performance, less in the way of injuries or less down time because of injury? (Is there anything similar in other programs that we can compare against?) Are you able to look historically at performers and have better ability to identify body type, skill sets that are recruitable based on past players? (which allows us to identify "sleeper athletes") How do the players feel it supports their training and recovery? Quote Link to comment
teachercd
1. Do the players that were recruited by Bo still have toxic symptoms? 2. Does the team/staff feel cursed? 3. What record do you need to not fire yourself? I will think of more. 2 Quote Link to comment
Frostberg
For Tanner Lee - Will you go to the NFL after this season if you project to be a 1st or 2nd round pick? For Players - What areas do you feel that you need improvement in? Whats your diet like? Does alternate uniforms and the brand (Nike, UA, Adidas) make a difference with recruiting? What is your favorite song to listen to prior to competing? Where do you see yourself playing an active leadership role on this team? Players or Coaches - What would be a successful season to you? What was the best advice you were ever given? Where do you draw your inspiration from? What is one key event that changed your life in a positive or negative way? For Coaches - How do you plan to communicate your plans and expectations to parents? How do you plan on improving as a coach from year to year? Describe a coaches role as motivator. How do you plan on motivating players and getting them to buy in to their role on the team each year? How would you promote a positive energy with your team through both positive and negative situations? Quote Link to comment
huKSer
Last year (I think) you asked this and got mostly exclusive Husker related questions (well, duh, it is Huskerboard) and then tragically they did not go to media days. So here are some questions non-Husker exclusive Players - I always liked the off the wall questions - Last year would have been something about Pokemon. Maybe list 3 female sports reporters and ask "Which would you marry, date and ditch" Coaches - Turn nphuskers question sideways to: If you were stranded on a desert island which other B10 head coach would you have with you and why Weirdest/wackiest recruiting story Quote Link to comment
teachercd
Ohhhh, can you ask who the most toxic player was on the team the last two years? Ask how Mark Banker is doing... Quote Link to comment
