StPaulHusker
This means Minnesota vs Wisconsin the last week of the year is no more. Rivalry, LOL 1 Quote Link to comment
Red Five
I am going on a limb and sayit will be on a Friday. The schedule the B1G office released just has Saturdays. There will be multiple B1G Friday games throughout both 20 and 21, but everything is listed on a Saturday for now. Quote Link to comment
QMany
Iowa v. Wisconsin (West) and Michigan v. tOSU (East) the last week of the regular season before the Big Ten Championship. That's a kick in the nuts. 1 Quote Link to comment

Before the season expanded to 12 games, they ended their season before Thanksgiving, and Nebraska-Iowa was only played on that Friday because NU had traditionally played on that day. They had moved to having games that weekend anyway. The Game has been played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving since at least the year we joined. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
Now....if they truly wanted a competitive game (series) on that weekend/day that included Nebraska, they would have kept Iowa. We are 3-3 since joining the league. Comparatively, we are 4-2 with Minny. Quote Link to comment

Red Five
Playing in Minneapolis the last week of November could be very dicey. Hopefully global warming kicks into high gear. Quote Link to comment
BIG ERN
I'm all for this. It was more of a lose lose with Iowa. Nothing to gain from Minnesota either, but a lesser opponent and not Black Friday to make it feel like a rivalry game or something as important. Quote Link to comment

I know B1G fans had wanted to play longer anyway, and it was talked about after OSU got drubbed by Florida when they had almost 60 days off between games. Quote Link to comment
bugeater17
Can we get rid of the Heroes game trophy now... it has felt forced from the inception of this "rivalry" 5 Quote Link to comment

We've been getting blown out in big games lately, and that's a really bad look for the league. 2 Quote Link to comment

The B1G had always been reluctant to change, and it definitely cost them when Ohio State was smoked by Florida. 1 Quote Link to comment
