Power of the AD? Yeah, he even has power over his main competitor in the league.... gets them to hire fake AD’s and dopey guys who make beating them a can o’ corn. Have you guys finished reading War and Peace yet? There’s a really great Canterbury Tale where this guy lets out a horrendous fart. Quote Link to comment

If he keeps it within 3 TDs, then I think he stays for at least another week. Especially considering we still don't have an AD to make the decision yet. Maybe Remington, wt good Husker Pride, decides to keep the job permanently and does the task himself. One can only hope Quote Link to comment

Ore State departed ways with Anderson. Will NU do the same wt MR after Ohio State game? Had to post this comment under the article. It should give a chuckle or two: Ntishko 10 hours ago Bo Pelini! He's proven can outperform Mike Riley and an offer from OSU would dwarf what Youngstown State is paying him. FlagShare LikeReply Guy Guernsey 2 hours ago Neat possibility for OSU. But Bo's compensation at Youngstown State might be a rather moot point - I think he still might be collecting coin from Nebraska. They are currently paying a lot of ex-employees of the athletic department, including former AD's. Quote Link to comment
4skers89
This should probably stay in "Other Sports" but Riley back to OSU may not be an option. http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/84719-paging-mike-riley-osu-job-open-again/&do=findComment&comment=1902040 Quote Link to comment

And there are two primary roles that an FBS HC plays - 1 - putting a winning football team on the field 2 - being a positive ambassador for the school. Pelini is decent enough at #1 to be a HC at a lesser FBS school, but he is godawful at #2. If he goes to a school that doesn't have a chancellor breathing down his neck and an AD preaching an energy vampire bus driver schtick, I think he could be "handled" properly on #2. Well even in the comfort and safety of his hometown school, Bo spent his first season at Youngstown State throwing an assistant coach under the bus, complaining about the half full stadium, and in the final minutes of a losing season, with his team near mid-field with a chance to win the game, Bo committed consecutive unsportsmanlike conduct penalties that pinned Youngstown State near their own goal. Just last week Bo refused to shake hands with the opposing coach after a loss. Oh yeah, and he brought a convicted rapist onto the team, and apparently against the wishes of YSU President Jim Tressel, Bo put him into a game. http://newsok.com/why-a-former-ou-co-defensive-coordinator-is-under-fire-despite-success-at-youngstown-state/article/5564596 So.....maybe not. 1 Quote Link to comment
junior4949
At one time, I thought Bo would get another shot at a power 5 once his buyout here was complete. Now, there's not a program out there desperate enough to bring this clown into it. He may have even soiled himself to the point that another program won't/can't bring him in as a coordinator. 1 Quote Link to comment

There is an interesting part about our current coach in that article. Quote "Tracy herself was gang raped by four football players in 1998, and two of them played for Oregon State. Ultimately, they were allowed to continue playing by then coach Mike Riley. He called them "really good guys who made a bad choice." Quote Link to comment
junior4949
At least the title had former OU co-defensive coordinator in it instead of former Nebraska head coach. Quote Link to comment
