wrong thread?

It could be in the strange time for Christians thread, but I figured with all the posts about Christians following Trump, loving Putin,  being trans phobic, homo phobic, bigoted and pro abortion, their extinction would be part of a liberal utopia.

A lot of truth here.  It’s why I left the church.

I realized religion wasn’t that important to me to allow myself to be associated with the whack jobs.

Police injured, more than 200 arrested at Trump inauguration protests in DC

https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/donald-trump-inauguration-protest-damages-downtown-washington/

The bulk of the criminal acts happened at 10:30 a.m. when 400 to 500 people on 13th Street destroyed property, Interim Police Chief Peter Newsham said. The protesters were armed with crowbars and threw objects at people and businesses, destroying storefronts and damaging vehicles. Police used pepper spray to diffuse the situation.

There were protests in other cities, including Portland, where protesters and police clashed and police used flashbangs and tear gas, CBS affiliate KOIN reports

The planned protest began peacefully Friday afternoon, but the tone of the event changed when police said protesters began throwing “rocks, bottles, flares and unknown liquids” at officers who blocked them from walking onto local bridges.

Right before Trump took office I invested in a crowbar company...I made crazy returns!

Oh yes, that time they stormed the capital and a Democratic Senator, after running from the mob, showed them a fist in solidarity. Both sides are equally as bad here. Let's not forget all those Biden flags we saw in Portland!

You voted for a guy, twice, who is now leaning into Qanon conspiracies, so congrats on that. Let's hope Ron DeSantis continues to debase himself further so Republican voters find him palpable. Although Greg Abbot is certainly trying to beat him in the race-to-the-bottom.

Ron DeSantis has everything we need in a President, including treating human beings as political pawns so Republicans can feel like they're "oWnInG teH lIbZ".

Glad they're focusing on that and not uncomfortable questions like "why are red states so poor" or "was making 'democracy is bad' the main policy of our Party - to be in the good graces of a twice impeached former President, under investigation for numerous crimes, who's leaning into QAnan conspiracy theories - a good idea?"

MV folks couldn’t even handle them less than 110 of them for 24 hrs before kicking them out?  And you immediately go to “arghhhhh Republican, DeSantis, arggghhhhhh”.  Why can’t lib enclaves share the responsibility of the failed Biden border policies??

Didn't that lib enclave have volunteers bring them food and water - and had so many people show up they had to turn volunteers away? But yes, Ron DeSantis is a giant pile of s#!t for treating people like this. The only thing worse are the voters who 1) think this makes a good policy point (it doesn't) and 2) finds joy in it.

Instead of wasting money on this, why don't red states take that money and provide Healthcare to the poor. You know, since they're morons who sued to stop government for paying for it? And before you ask, by healthcare I'm not referring to Ivermectin or injecting bleach.
