Apathy
Theres talk that he won't even need surgery and that he'll have screws inserted into his foot and will only miss roughly 7 weeks. A player suffered the same injury last year and didn't have surgery and only missed 7 weeks. Only a couple of days after signing his rookie contract, Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara is out definitely with a broken foot, according to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post. Haspula
Amukamara is hall of fame bound. I see the giants going far in the playoffs next year Quote Link to comment
redblooded
Amukamara is hall of fame bound. I see the giants going far in the playoffs next year That's quite a stretch for someone who has never played a pro game and possibly just ended his rookie season days after joining his first camp. knapplc
Giants' Prince Amukamara trying to be patient as he looks to return after bye week The hope among the Giants’ coaches and staff was Prince Amukamara would miss 8 to 10 weeks after breaking his foot on Aug. 6. This is the ninth week. And you officially can forget about the original time frame. “After the bye,” Tom Coughlin said today. The bye is the weekend of Oct. 23, which means the Giants will now be happy if their first-round pick is back in action by the end of the month. Is Amukamara disappointed? “Yeah, a lot,” he said. “But I’ve learned throughout this process just to be patient and don’t rush it. You don’t want to get on the field too early and reinjure it.” Quote Link to comment
DaveH
Sounds like he might have rushed it and tried to come back too soon. Quote Link to comment
