Oh…..cute headline though

An initial two busloads were taken to local shelters, according to an administration official.

Amy Fischer, a volunteer with the Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network, which has been receiving migrants sent to DC since the spring, said the organization had been prepared for Saturday night's arrivals, having been informed about it earlier by an NGO working at the border in Texas.

Laborde said most migrants were aware of the buses' destinations, and she said about 60% were headed to New York, either to shelters or to stay with friends and family. She described this as "a pattern we've been seeing over the past couple months."

I don't know if two non-profit organizations working together to mitigate migrants' use as political pawns at the hands of moronic Republican politicians is quite the defense you think it is.

Begs a few more questions. Why we the migrants dropped off at a politician's house and not one of these NGOs or a shelter? Why during Christmas? The answer is still that the governor and his people are POSes and Christian I'm name only.

Begs another question or two.  If this is a government action then why does Christianity need to be brought up? We are  told Religion and government should be separate so someone’s religious beliefs have no bearing on the decision to transport migrants to NY, where shelters and family were waiting, but that got derailed to DC by weather.

Uhm.....there's one party that strongly, sometimes violently suggests religion and government should not be separated, and has won loyalty from evangelicals and Christian nationalist voters for doing so.

When there are real world Jesus moments, like caring for the poor and sick, some folks are inclined to point this out.

But Religion and gubment are separate so why bring Christianity into this gubment decision?

Weird you all seem to think having these people on the streets of El Paso is better than a shelter in the NorthEast:dunno

Maybe your party should be asked that.
