ZRod
I know Star Wars movies aren't know for their amazing dialogue, and it's only a trailer, but from what I've seen and heard this doesn't look that promising to me... I really hope I'm wrong. Unfortunately that's just how (most) action movies are today. Come up with the biggest/flashiest/most innovative way to have a bunch of CGI action scenes and try to work a story around that. And I hate it! Don't get me wrong, I like Michael Bay movies when they're not sequels and don't take themselves serious, but most movies today are garbage. Poor back stories, poor dialogue, and poor character development. I'm not saying Star Wars is there yet, but the last movie was sorely lacking in any originality. This one looks to be lacking the substance and chemistry. But it's only a couple trailers... 1 Quote Link to comment

The story could have been better, but they spent a lot of time on the final creature at the end. It was a good show, but could have been better with a better overall story. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I'd say they've more than gotten their money's worth out of the TIE Fighter variations. 1 Quote Link to comment

Redux
Pretty excited to see this. But, I gotta say, I hate the whole "A Star Wars Story" moniker attached to it. Rouge One would have sufficed. 1 Quote Link to comment

The whole "story" being added to the title kinda feels off. 1 Quote Link to comment

The generation that was barely born when the prequels were released not so much. Quote Link to comment

It looks reasonably good, in a way that a probably well executed action movie does. And I miss plenty of those. This, though... Quote Link to comment

Thus, they included the part that is iconic to help sell it. Quote Link to comment

It's the "story" part I take issue with, it sounds cheap and lame. Quote Link to comment

But for basically no additional cost, there's not reason not to include it. Quote Link to comment
