skersfan
As much as I hate the Patriots, this is the perfect team for Rex. Hard work will pay off there. I may have to watch them. No can't do that, just can't stand Belocheater. 2 Quote Link to comment
Big Red 40
Patriot hater here too but happy for Rex. It all about getting to, and winning a Super Bowl. Good opportunity for him to do that. Quote Link to comment
Morrissey
Good for Rex, he'll finally play on a successful team for once. Quote Link to comment

Warrior
I see them using Rex like they did Danny Woodhead. His time with the Pats has paid huge dividends for him! Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
I'll be rooting for NE now for the first time ever. Good for RB and good on the Pats for recognizing his talents. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Rex has always seemed like a perfect fit for the Patriots. With the money they gave him, they clearly have big plans for him and not just for special teams (though that's become his calling card). Â Excited to see what he brings to the table for them. It's interesting, they do already have two pass/scat backs in Dion Lewis and James White, both in the last year of their contracts. They had a reliable ST player in Branden Bolden (now a free agent). Burkhead comes in on another 1 year deal, and it's a $3.15M deal with $1.1M in signing bonus and $1.8M in base salary. Â For reference, LeGarrette Blount signed an incentive-laden 1 year deal with a $100k signing bonus and $760k base salary last April. The max incentives brought him to c. $2M, I believe. Then again, the Pats seem to be spending somewhat uncharacteristically this free agency. 1 Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I absolutely love it that he's getting that kind of money. I hope he is very successful with the patriots and is there several years. If not, that's some serious money that sets him up for life and makes all the hard work well worth it. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
I could never root for the Patriots. But I will watch more of their nationally televised games now that they have a few former Huskers. Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
Another thing to consider is the RBs on the market and in the draft this year. The Patriots had alot of options and decided to go pick up Rex. Congrats and I hope he is successful there! Quote Link to comment
MyBloodIsRed16
I'm sure the Patriots will use him as a rec just as they have other backs. He played in the slot some when in cincy and played well. I also hate the Patriots along with the Lions and it seems those teams are always picking up Huskers. Oh well hope he does a good job for them Quote Link to comment
