Status Updates posted by tmfr15

  1. Shawn Watson is really getting sick of these status updates

  2. Shawn Watson's plan is to revisit the plan, talk about the plan, analyze the plan, re-work the plan in order to be more multiple and attack the defense in multiple ways.

  3. Spring game tickets. Oh yea. I got to do that at some point. Hopefully there will be some left when I do. GBR!

  4. Suh lost, but Danny Woodhead is still alive in the Madden Cover vote...don't forget to cast your ballot.

  5. Sure wish we had a bowl tie in that pitted a Big 10 team against a Big 12 team. Far as I can tell, one doesn't exist. A bowl game for the Huskers against a former Big 12 rival would be fun.

ID BE AFRAID WE'D GET PIGEON HOLED INTO THAT BOWL EVERY YEAR. I MEAN ASSUMING WE QUALIFY FOR IT.

      JJ Husker

I'm sort of keeping my eyes fixed on a higher level bowl; Rose, BCS, playoff....that type of thing. But yeah other than those, might as well be a Big 12 team once in awhile.

  6. T-Minus two months until T-Magic and the Huskers get this Big 10 thing rollin' right

  7. That KC game was something else today. I am not a KC fan by any means, but I am a football fan and I know how badly I would feel if my team did what KC did today. Hard to think this way right now, but KC fans should be proud of the season they had and they should feel hopeful for the future.

The chefs should've lost 472-0, and that would've been better. The only hope I want them to have is the hope they never win another game and they get rid of the team. I only feel sorry for chefs fans that they feel compelled to like that team.

Not sure who from KC or who from the Chiefs organization pizzed in your Wheaties. I'm not a huge NFL fan but I do pull for the two teams closest to me like KC and Denver. Didn't get to watch the game after the first quarter as I was busy playing with grandkids then traveling home. Hated to see that KC fell face first vs Indy.

They had a good season. Funny thing is all the Chiefs fans I know and work with, they are still bitching this season. It's why I can't stand Chefs fans. Most of em' don't even realize what a completely different team they looked like in just one year. Of course, can't blame y'all if that meltdown lingers a bit. That was bad. Kind of how I felt after the Rahim Moore play against Balty last year.

  8. The draft could not get any worse. As a Husker and Cowboy fan, it pains me to see all those Huskers heading to NFC East rivals of the Cowboys

  9. The Georgia bowl game rematch is penance for that thread about Richt being a good coach option for NU. LOL

  10. The other BIG games on Saturday might be interesting to watch, Ohio State vs. Minn being one of those contests. But at the end of the day, I don't care. I want a BIG title and will take whatever bowl comes with it, be it playoff or not.

I think there's a good chance Minny upends tOSU.

And if it happens, we can kiss the playoffs goodbye.

  11. The tough part about recruiting is that most, if not all, of the guys you pull in can't help you right away. They need time to develop. Figure two years or possibly three before they will be doing much of anything on the field.

    1. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

Considering the talent we have, 3 years is too long of a timeline. Unfortunately we need some guys that can contribute in year 1 and 2.

Really glad POB was an early enrollee. Hopefully him and Grim can get a connection going and he can really push TA.

    3. Redux

      Redux

I think maybe a handful of the guys we are about to land could contribute this season.

  12. Thought of the day: It sure is easier to learn how to expect more than it is to learn how to expect less. End of the third quarter in Minny and Gopher fans are probably tickled with the idea of getting a hard earned win over Ohio to move to 3-1. Close game? Against Ohio? We would be freaking out... much the same way we are today after S. Miss

the gophers are losing to the fighting frankies now

Minnesota win over Ohio=Happy. NU win over S Miss=UNhappy.

What's the difference? We expect to win. Minny does not.

  13. Trolls used to tell me... Nebraska will never be "back" and I laughed at them. But the last time I felt we had the ability to compete for high stakes and win... 2001. That's 14 years on now. And I look at where we are at... that troll is starting to look smart.

And frankly, TCU and Baylor are doing it using old SWC tactics.

^ where is the proof of that Vector? Or just spouting off garbage?

  14. Trying to syay poitive, but Colorado, 4-4, Nebraska, 3-5. That sucks

  15. Wanting to relive a couple of seaons this off season. Can you buy a season on DVD? If so, where... link?

  16. Warming up to bowl season. I am liking a lot of these match ups and can't wait for the Huskers to play. USC and Fresno just five days away.

  17. Watching the Cajuns and thinking about what an upgrade it would have been for the Huskers to hire their HC instead of MR. Sarcasm implied.

Haha I was just talking about how I wanted their S&C coach in a thread here.

  18. Watching the entire 1997 NU-Missouri game on You Tube today.

  19. We know that Bo isn't perfect. But he doesn't call out his players by name and throw them under the bus. #CreditWHereCreditIsDue.

ok. not the responses I expected. hope the remarks were supposed to be in jest. I am checking the sarcasm meter.

      ObamaRocks91

Well what I said was serious. It's great that Bo doesn't do that, but how many coaches actually do this? Maybe once per year? Like I said, happy Bo doesn't do it, but it's not really something that should be an accomplishment because then everyone in the country would get that awared

    4. tschu

      tschu

No, he only passive-agressively calls them out saying they didn't execute

  20. We've all been working through our Husker emotions over the past few days. I started a thread devoted to those struggles. Occurs to me though that no matter how much we vent, we all should be able to go back and be just as big of fans as ever. Afterall, isn't that what BO is doing. He is absolutely vile towards the whole process one minute and sincrely contrite the next. And he gets by with it. We should be able to do the same.

  21. Webster shot himself in the foot. Huskers lose four in a row. Errrrrr

  22. Week 17 of the NFL season. Football ... I miss you already.

  23. Went to ESPN front page and they had an alarming number of stories based on "Source or Sources." Isn't that a nice way of saying, we can't confirm, but we are going with it anyways. Nice ESPN

  25. What is the deal with Adam Taylor? I know that he got hurt in the lead up to the season, but I thought he would be available by now. Are they going to hold out for a medical red shirt even though he has already had his regular red shirt?

He broke his ankle and initially it was said he could be back in 6 weeks. About a month ago there was a statement that said he would be out for the year.
