  1. That's nothing! Ever hear the story of newcomer Ren McCormack? From Chicago, Ren is in shock when he discovers the small Midwestern town he now calls home has made dancing and rock music illegal. As he struggles to fit in, Ren faces an uphill battle to change things. With the help of his new friend, Willard Hewitt, and defiant teen Ariel Moore, he might loosen up this conservative town. But Ariel's influential father, Reverend Shaw Moore, stands in the way. Tough times! (I wish this was mine!)

  4. First time for everything! ZING!
  5. Anyone remember the first movie they say in a theater with friends?  I think mine might have been Karate Kid.

The first one I drove to with friends after dinner at Godfathers in a quasi adult manner was A Fish Called Wanda. Then we scored beer from someone’s brother. Very memorable

  6. One of my classes of older students are all currently looking at colleges, a lot of them look at these small private schools with no sports to speak of and I don't try to influence them or anything like that, I don't care what school they attend but sometimes I feel like even though they say "Oh, I don't care about football" that they are missing the point. It isn't so much about caring about the team...it is about the social aspect of it. I can only imagine what it is like for sororities when they are getting ready for the first tailgate of the year...getting up at 4am so that they can get ready for 3 hours to make it look like they didn't take 3 hours to get ready. Goofing around, having fun, pre-gaming...heading out in a big group to the tailgate spot you were invited to by another house or friends or whatever. At a school like Regis or St. Thomas, I think you really miss out on that. I think your daughter has narrowed it down to two really good schools and she can't go wrong.
  7. Ugggg, tomorrow? Still got awhile Tago I guess!
  8. And sadly for NU...any loss here is basically a "bad" loss. They are almost in that no win situation. But they still have to win.
  9. If I remember correctly from our scout info on him this year it read "Best player we will see all year, best player in the state, he will take chances"
  10. Even though I can't stand Riley and SE...I do think what you typed is true and I really don't have a problem with it. In the end it is sales...right? What is the code...under-promise and over-deliver?
  11. Nice! Just can't lose now...keep piling up wins.
  12. Yeah...that game for me...when it is in Lincoln usually means heading out to O street and having a great time. When it is away we all meet out at some Omaha bars and have a great time.
  13. Friday...2:30 or 3pm...I don't care who they play.
  14. Uh oh...we are hosting the Husker staff next week...time to ask them about Rhabdo!

I was mostly kidding. I'll actually have to think about it now.

Funny story though. We took engagement photos in Lincoln the day Riley was fired. Including a bunch of photos at the stadium. She's a Michigan girl, so we took some photos of us in our respective team hoodies right in front of the '97 trophy. A few members of her family donate to the Michigan program, so I would get a huge kick out of having HCSF anywhere remotely close to the wedding.

Get Held to give you the finger.

Also, funny Frost-related wedding story; through my GF at the time, I got to attend Kurt Mann's wedding. I'm on the dance floor with my date, and bump into the couple behind me; I turn around to apologize, and it's Frost, turning around to apologize to me.

Long story short: I've touched Scott Frost on the ass, be jealous.

Sounds like something I would order at an Indian restaurant

  15. I would want the power of an HB Mod! Or...invisible...one of those I would pick super strength or super speed but since 99% of the posters here already claim that they have that...it really doesn't seem to add much.
  16. I am also making some changes for the spring game. With the early start time I plan on cracking open my first beer around 7:30am instead of 8am. I plan to be in the car with my friends by 8am instead of 9:30am.
  17. Just a guess but I think this will be the highest rated one ever. It will be the Howard Stern Effect...people that hate/ed Stern listened longer than people that love/d him. With that said...I won't be watching.
  18. "Riley has forgotten more about football than most of us will ever know" Yeah...he forgot how to win games.
  19. Sometimes people forget that these guys are probably getting 20 calls a night from either coaches/reporters/recruiting services...asking them questions. So when they tweet something out, it might not just be that they are looking for attention it is just a quick easy way to let people know.
  20. This might help... Since the end of the Iowa game...
  21. Reduced by 20%...interesting! I thought I had rhabdo once...turns out I was just really bored.
