I was running the event and got to witness it. This kid is a very athletic young man. I think he needs to try to long jump in college.

So it's YOUR fault for not having the wind gauge on it. ;)

Ryan Schommer just committed from Norfolk.  Some minor murmur this might not be as a walk on anymore, but we’ll start it here

No scholly, but see how the numbers work out at the end of the cycle could change that

Is Milton Sargbah looking for a scholarship offer, or a walk-on offer?

Sounds like scholarship and IWCC if one doesn't come from us.

Yeah, that's the way I read it to. Probably a good thing he has a fall back plan.

Corbin Frederick (teammate of Cam’ron Jones) is now walking on as well.

Whats the story on him? I know him an Cam'ron are buddies but is he talented or was this more of a ploy to get Cam'ron in by letting his friend walk on?

He’s worth a walk on spot.  Had offers from Navy and some other smaller schools.  Great addition.

Got a commit from kicker Dylan Jorgensen from Lincoln Southeast. If we continue to miss anything farther than a chipshot maybe we'll have a better option next season.

At Nebraska, Scott Frost is bringing the walk-on program back to the future

Quote

LINCOLN, Neb. — Scott Frost probably needed a night off.

It was Dec. 14, 2017, his 11th day on the job as Nebraska’s head football coach and a period of time he admits is a complete blur in hindsight. He was coaching UCF and recruiting for the Huskers, flying back and forth between both duties and trying to get too much done each day.

The unbeaten Knights had just begun bowl practices. The December early signing date was one week away. Frost had just made a cross-country trip from Orlando to Lincoln to Fresno, Calif., for an in-home visit with his future quarterback Adrian Martinez the night before. And he had a 5-week-old baby at home.

“I don’t know if I’ve ever been as physically exhausted as I was there for a couple weeks, trying to coach and recruit,” Frost said.

Pausing for one night to relax and regroup would have been nice. But, no, long-term priorities won out. He boarded a jet in Orlando that Wednesday night and landed in Lincoln at 7:33 p.m. He made time for the walk-on program.
