If Ek did leave I'd bet Jimmy gets hired, wouldn't surprise me if a call has already been made since Jimmy isn't at Buffalo anymore. But this seems like a big jump for Ek, I don't know Leavitt goes with a guy that has only been a full-timer one season Quote Link to comment

Does he have more respect for Leavitt than Bo even though they won a national championship together at LSU? And Ek is a Nebraska native. What Nebraska native would rather coach for FSU than NU? As another poster said, you do have to start somewhere, but I still think he's too young/inexperienced. I think another poster mentioned that the 2008 season was his first season as a full time coach. If he goes to USF, I think he is hindering his career. Nothing wrong with going there or some other place a few years down the road, but he followed Pelini to Nebraska to do a job, and I don't think leaving is going to help finish the job he helped start.
