kchusker_chris
It is nice knowing that Maher will still be still be holding. At least there is some holdhover from AE days, and Maher can probably help calm any butterflies pre-kick. I'm assuming Maher will take over punting duties? Anyone hear anything in regards to the kid that walked on from Texas last year? Dann I think. Quote Link to comment
SkerMin8r
I liked that he said anything inside the 40 is easy now.. sounds good to me Inside the 40? So anything from a 57 yarder in?!?! Yeah...me likey!! Hope it's true!! Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
I'd have to check the film or someone else can, to see if Niklas is kicking off the ground or off the box that most high schoolers do. It is easy to say 40 is easy off a bok, it is kicking off the turf where alot of high school kickers struggle with. Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
He's gone, and so it begins. Quote Link to comment
HuskerFowler
yep rivals already has him off our commit list down to 16 Quote Link to comment
Husker Richard
Why would he leave? If anything, our inept offense would only give a kicker more opportunities. That's assuming we can get the ball into FG range. However, with Adi and Alex leaving, Sade probably would've seen playing time right away. It doesn't make sense to me. Quote Link to comment
irieboy8
just think the kid wants to stay close to home...... NC state aint nothing to right home about Quote Link to comment
HANC
He's gone, and so it begins. hope this isn't "open flood gates".....f'n dead period too..... I don't think Bo can even talk to these kids to try to convince them to stay.... keep fingers crossed, but I will say there will be more to come. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Wow. Huge, huge loss for the Huskers. Make no bones about it. With our offense especially having a good kicker is worth it's weight in gold. A lot of people will say 'big deal' about losing a kicker but I think this is a big loss for us. Quote Link to comment
C N Red
I think staying close to home came up big again for this recruit. BUT I think a HUGE AND NUMBER ONE reason is not wanting to follow the greatest kicker in college football history. I dont think he has the confidence to follow Henery. Its gonna take a very special kicker to live up to what kind of standards and expectations Henery left. If you don't have the cajones, u better not come to Nebraska. Probably end up being a blessing for both sides in the end. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Holy cow. I would like to believe that C N, but I wonder if there is more to this story. Jason Dann, you're up! Get ready for that spotlight. Quote Link to comment
husker_hurdler
Though Break. Sounded like the kid was a solid commit. Now I have to watch him in the AA BOwl as a NC State commit. Quote Link to comment
irieboy8
okay here is what happened... kids from the south like to stay in the south for the most part... the kid liked nebraska but like many before him and many after him realized the school he committed to was kinda far away...i think the NC State bowl win and the Nebraksa loss most definetly played into his choice to decommitt.... simply the thought 'hey NC state doesnt suck as bad as i thought' and nebraska's kinda cold and far away... simple as that Quote Link to comment
