mmmtodd
i swear to god. thats the most exciting thing weve seen on the offensive side of the ball for 10 years. say it isnt. oh yeah...niles dropping 2 passes didnt exactly help taylors cause. hits the skin, you bring it in. --Mitch Krenk Quote Link to comment
huskerscott
All im gonna say is the zone read will not work against alot of teams that have a pulse. How many times did we run that play??? 8 times??? Quote Link to comment
Huskers Fan Too
They all looked good in their own ways, but the play making ability of Taylor is too much. I think Taylor is the starter, especially if he keeps running like that. You can't bench him if he goes out there next week and rushes for another 2 or 3 TDs. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
Martinez...obviously. What I am more concerned about is Lee's situation. Is he still hurt or has he actually fallen behind Martinez and Green? Has he regressed that much or are the other 2 that much better? Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
Who cares if he's cocky? I want a QB with some fire in his belly. You can't expect for all of them to have the humble, down-to-earth attitude of Frazier. Quote Link to comment
Bradr
All im gonna say is the zone read will not work against alot of teams that have a pulse. How many times did we run that play??? 8 times??? Isn't that kindof the point? Get teams to key into defensive scheming against a running offense, to open up our downfield passing game? As I type that, it makes me consider downfield passing game... Quote Link to comment
husker fat boy
No. He seems like a normal kid with the swagger of having had a really good day. If he ever get's too cocky, I'm sure Bo, and good old fashioned reality ,will put him straight. It's all part of growing up. Quote Link to comment
Lil' Red
Cockiness can be a good or bad thing. If it means that they are confident it can be a good thing if it means they are over-confident and selfish it can be a bad thing. Quote Link to comment
billdozer15
I will hold judgement till he wins a conference title and puts us into an NC game, oh and is in the running for a heisman. He has played ONE game, he played pretty well agianst one of the worst teams in college football. He has a long way to go, before we even mention him and Crouch in the same paragraph let alone sentence. 1 Quote Link to comment
husker fat boy
We'll have to wait and see. I hope the offense becomes a well balanced machine with some depth, no matter who goes into the line. Quote Link to comment
husker B-rent
Bo does not have a problem with Lee he just didnt win the job its as simple as that. If Lee made the offense the most effective then he would have started tonight simple as that. Lee was not "owed" anything and he should not have been handed the starting job just because he started last year simple as that. The guy didnt win the job simple as that. No offense... But I take what BigWillie says as a little more than just a random guy posting on a message board... He knows what is going on.. When he says that Bo has something against Lee, I'll give it the time of day to hear it out... While Martinez may have won the job because of his legs, I don't know if he will keep it because of his arm. i usually trust what the guy says as well but when it comes to this, he is wrong. I know more than one player on the team and have asked a few of them about it (right after i saw willies post) and each of them said that lee was simply outplayed. they dont know where the doghouse comments came from but he has been treated the same as the other qbs, he was just beat out. bshirt
Those are all good points. Of course he's "proved" very little in one game. But special talent is there or it isn't. He looks all the world like major difference maker to me. But fair enough.....we'll see! Quote Link to comment

If he isnt very good throwing downfield then its pretty easy to defend. Quote Link to comment
BigRedPowerWagon
The only thing i would say is that his quarterback skills need to be shown more to be crouch esk but his run ability is definately there. Quote Link to comment
