THis isnt the kids fault or even Marrows fault. THis is our won coaches fault, plain and simple. You want to be mad? Be mad at our coaches who couldnt hang on to a recruit after they commited here a year ago. Losing a kid to UK should put a huge spotlight on our coaches recruiting. Also pretty obvious we should have kept Marrow and fired Barney. Just another example of Pelinis ego coming back to haunt him.

If this player flipped this quickly after a year of being a commit to us, I don't believe there was anything the coaches could have done. Hopefully the in-home with TJ, will do some good. But all in all, I don't see where the coaches are at fault.

If he's switching, he's not switching because Kentucky is a better fit. He's switching because of his relationship with marrow. And if that's worth being a bottom dweller in the SEC, a highly reduced draft stock and not getting to experience bowl games than so be it.

Especially considering how little he'll be around a TE coach.

All in all, a dumbfounding decision.

Silly for him to go to a bottom feeder program with zero track record of success (rotating coaching door), little to no kids in the NFL and empty stadiums not to mention academic support

But best of luck to you kid, you made a very poor life decision

Hope it ends well for you- you really are going to need a lot of luck taking the path you chose

No bad thoughts toward him- 18 year old kids make stupid decisions

Interesting that someone complaining about a egos seems to think they have all the right answers.

What do we have now 22 or 23 commits? Who can we finish the class with . Are there any big names we may have a chance with?

Dwayne Johnson and Drake Martinez...this recruiting cycle is turning out to remind me of our football season.

Definitely. It's not like we've gotten 8 of our commits this month or anything.

This may be true, but what you're implying is not a statistically valid argument for Nebraska over Kentucky because correlation does not imply causation.

See point above. If you're a good player, the NFL will find you. You don't need to play for a BCS team in order to have a future NFL career.

Not every kid feels like they have to walk into a school that is full of winning tradition. I actually respect some of these kids. They are the type that believe in themselves, their teammates and their coaches and want to build that winning tradition. If recruiting was as big of a national spectacle back when Devaney was hired people would have been saying the same thing about many of those guys that built NU football. They did it because they believed in something greater than past performance being a guarantee of future results.

Plus the kid is going to be with a guy who is like a second father to him. Good luck to McWilson. At least he did it the right way as opposed to a certain other commit that shall remain nameless.

Good luck to you Mr. McWilson. I said this before, that you were most likely gone because you were guaranteed a start, rather than earning it, like you would have had to do here at Nebraska. Sure he is a high caliber player, but I don't think this decommit will hurt us. DJ Singelton and Corey Cooper (if he doesn't get moved to CB) should do well for us. Who knows if this kid would have even had what it would take. Could have easily been a bust, especially in Pelini's defense. Safety has more responsibility than most defenses. If rumors are true that Charles Jackson will be trying and moving to the Safety spot, I don't think he would have started this year anyway.

Good luck at Kentucky McWilson.

Just got here, and I'm greeted with this drivel! Bro, delusional much! Sounds like an anti Pelini agenda here. So get the red out of your eyes and the hate out of your heart and come back here with something resembling support for this team! Clown

When Devaney got here there was plenty of talent

They just hadnt been coached very well

Jennings and his long practices- had everything out of whack priority wise as a starting point
