girlknowsfootball
Idk, hes not going to visit before his commitment date. Unless hes going to commit with the 2014 Collins kid im not sure who else we have offered from Skyline, Collins would have to have really sold him on Red, but kids have committed before without visiting so it can certainly happen, Stanton might beat him to the punch thou. Beck has been telling QB prospects that there is a good possibility we take 2 QB's in this class. If we can find the right guys then we will take 2, if we strike out on enough talented guys down the board and we get down to mid talent guys then we only take 1. Right now, Stanton, the guy from Louisiana, Kinkade, and Bailey (who's supposedly waivering on his illinois commitment) are all guys we'd consider for one of two spots. Hobbs might be in that mix as well but I get the feeling we are slow playing him a bit because he is a little further down the list than a couple of the other guys we are after. Quote Link to comment

Right now, Stanton, Damian Williams, Kinkade, and Bailey (who's supposedly waivering on his illinois commitment) are all guys we'd consider for one of two spots. Hobbs might be in that mix as well but I get the feeling we are slow playing him a bit. The only school Kincade has visited so far is K-state. Yet he plans on making his decision July 17th? He hasn't visited Notre Dame, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Miss St, or Oregon State, which are all in his top 6, but yet he plans on making his decision in 3 weeks. What puzzles me is that he had an opportunity to ride up to NU with a teamate for BRW and turned it down. He had said if he could find a way to get there that he would be there but he had that opportunity and didn't go. You'd think if he was really interested in NU that he would have sacrificed some things to make that trip to NU. But then again, if you look at his top 6 he might have said well... Notre Dame is stacked with QB's, Ole Miss and Miss State and Oregon St will not be competing for National Championships anytime soon, nor do their facilities or programs compare to Nebraska's even just on paper. So here's where we're at/what we know: He said he likes K State because there are 2 guys from Skyline there and they had nice facilities cause it was the only campus he has visited. His 2014 teammate Cedric Collins left NU's BRW with a goal of telling Devante about NU. Cedrick and his dad loved Nebraska and the people/facilities there. He could be in Kinkade's ear about it. So I think it's down to K-State and NU for him at this point. It could get more interesting if he takes more visits over the next few weeks though. Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
I bet he moves his commit date back. Happens all the time. Quote Link to comment
ADS
I bet he moves his commit date back. Happens all the time. It happens about 95% of the time, most kids do it to get there name out and reaction from media/fans. Quote Link to comment
MinnwiscowaSker
I'm guessing a lot of the kids set a date and plan to announce, but then more offers come rolling in and they have to step back. A guy like Sua knew what offers he was getting (and probably exactly where he was going) and announced on his date he stated. Quote Link to comment
papio2chi
Plans to announce his decision on July 17 at the Elite 11 quarterback camp between Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Oregon State and Nebraska. Quote Link to comment
bournehusker
Someone needs to kid nap him and bring him to Lincoln prior to that event. Probably only chance we have. Quote Link to comment

Wouldn't be surprised if he made a verbal but then went ahead on his officials and changes his mind. It happens. Quote Link to comment
HuskerFowler
Moved his announcement date up to tommorrow July 6th. Safe to say he probably wont be picking us. MSU or KSU. Quote Link to comment
WAHusker
He is just fishing for offers from Oklahoma and Texas. Which is why he stated he would decide soon, and moved back the date. Im guessing he will end up at ND or Oregon State (he likes Mike Leech). Quote Link to comment
