FLU
IMO, best scenario will be a 9-4 finish; worst would be 7-6. My guess: Sept 1st: Southern Miss at NU (L) Sept 8th: NU at UCLA (W) Sept 15th: Arkansas State at NU (W) Sept 22nd: Idaho State at NU (W) Sept 29th: Wisky at NU (L) Oct 6th: NU at Ohio State (L) Oct 20th: NU at Northwestern (W) Oct 27th: Michigan at NU (L) Nov 3rd: NU at Michigan State (L) Nov 10th: Penn State at NU (W) Nov 17th: Minn at NU (W) Nov 23rd: NU at Iowa (W) Quote Link to comment

Saunders
Best Case: Southern Miss - (34 - 13) - Win UCLA - (28 - 14) - Win Arkansas State - (38 - 10) - Win Idaho State - (48 - 6) - Win Wisconsin - (28-17) - Win Ohio State - (17 - 21) - Loss Northwestern - (34 - 17) - Win Michigan - (24 - 17) - Win Michigan State - (20 - 6) - Win Penn State - (31 - 13) - Win Minnesota - (38 - 14) - Win Iowa - (21 - 10) - Win Regular season record (11-1) Worst Case: Southern Miss - (21 - 17) - Win UCLA - (24 - 21) - Win Arkansas State - (28 - 17) - Win Idaho State - (38 - 14) - Win Wisconsin - (17-31) - Loss Ohio State - (13 - 34) - Loss Northwestern - (27 - 24) - Win Michigan - (17 - 28) - Loss Michigan State - (13 - 20) - Loss Penn State - (21 - 17) - Win Minnesota - (24 - 17) - Win Iowa - (17 - 13) - Win Regular season record (8-4) I think we end up 10-2 with losses to OSU and either Michigan State or Michigan. If we follow your worst case scenario - I think we lose to Iowa as well and go 7-5 . if we lose 4 of our first 5 conference games...this team is going to be demoralized. I see us going 8-4, but not starting out 1-4 in conf play. A loss to UCLA/S.Miss is my 4th. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
If our defensive line improves at all we almost can't lose to Iowa - presuming we come to play, and don't have another brain-fart game. Vandenberg will be mincemeat again to this D Line. He'll be facing basically the same line he faced last year, with another year of experience, without his top RB and WR from last season, not to mention two OL starters. We only sacked him once, but he was under duress throughout the game. I see another sub .500 passing game for Vandenberg, at least one pick, and a long night in the jacuzzi afterwards. FLU
5 straight losses in the middle of the season is not out of the realm of possibility. Quote Link to comment
billdozer15
Another 9-3 is what I see. We have too many ? marks on the offensive line and I'm not sold on the defense. We could go 8-4.......GASP! Quote Link to comment
SandhillshuskerW
I see us going 10-2 or 9-3, but I guess I really don't see why some people think we will lose to Southern Miss. I see that as a win, not the easiest win of the season, but a win none-the-less. Quote Link to comment
HuskerMoon
For crying out loud! We aren't going to lose any freaking football games! 14-0 56-10 over Purdue in B10 CCG. 28-22 over USC in Actual national Championship Game ( I'll leave you guys to debate the mythical one.) Additionally I invite you all down to join me this afternoon as I'll be visiting Kool Aid days in Hastings. Today is the last day! Quote Link to comment

HuskerMoon
That's right Purdue Mr. Carell! When everybody assumes Wisconsin has won the division already it gives a scrappy under the radar team like Purdue the opportunity. Purdue plays Wiscy at home. They win that game the division is up for grabs. Quote Link to comment

Of course, my worse case scenario isn't including a major injury or an '07 collapse. If that happened, unless the D really comes back on strong, we could be 6-6 with additional losses to Iowa and either NW or UCLA. Quote Link to comment

See there are little complexities about the Big Ten, for every power there's a small team that has its number. For Wisconsin it's been Northwestern, Purdue beats OSU. We roll Purdue in 2012. 202-71 combined score last six meetings. Quote Link to comment
HuskerMoon
Things don't always happen the way you think they will. When Wiscy doesn't win the division I'll be pleased. Quote Link to comment
