The Bard coined a bunch of phrases too. Some that are very common in everyday English. Literally household words.

Household words

I went through a Shakespeare kick after college. Read about 15 of his plays. I mostly read the modern English versions though. I just couldn't hang with the old English language of the original versions.

Checked my hometown news for the first time since I've been in CO. Here are the top stories:

- Man arrested for meth distribution

- Woman arrested for meth delivery

- Man to face trial for church burlaries

- Man gets heavy sentence for stabbing

- Police concerned about recent pedestrian-vehicle accidents

Cross out old phone number, put in your cell phone number. Hand out to women at bars, and hope they call or text you :dunno

I like this, but would it be appropriate to "make it rain" business cards on said women?

The true orbits of the planets. We tend to forget that as we move about the sun, the sun is orbiting the center of the Milky Way. That motion means we're not just going around in circles.

This confuses me. The biggest rock should be closer to the Sun than Saturn, right?

I would say so, it's like giving them a compliment.

Went to my daughter's high school band concert tonight. It lasted 2 1/2 hours. They spent over 90 minutes recognizing every senior in the band and their parents, and giving out over 50 friggin awards. 90 damn minutes! Why is it that band people waste so damn much time patting themselves on the back?
