Eric the Red
Sam McKewon wrote on Monday that Eric Martin currently has 6 1/2 sacks on the year. We says the over/under for his season total will 10 and he chooses the over. How many sacks do you beleive he will have by seasons end and why? Quote Link to comment
EZ-E
With the statues that we play remaining, I'd go over. Id say 12. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Over. He could have three sacks against Vandenberg alone. Maxwell from Sparty is a pocket passer. He has -57 yards rushing on the season. He's a Junior, playing at home, and he's a pretty good passer (2000 yards, 9TD, 5 INT), but he's the very definition of a statue. We should put him on his butt a lot. McGloin from Penn State is the same thing: -13 yards rushing on the season because of sacks, but 2100 yards passing, 16 TDs and only 3 INTs. Phillip Nelson from Minnesota isn't a pocket passer per se - he seems more like a Todd Reesing (from KU) type player. More of a passer, but mobile enough if necessary. Not likely a lot of sacks against this guy. Vandenberg from Iowa is a mess. He has 1500 yards passing, 3 TDs and 5 INTs. If we don't smear him all over the Kinnick Stadium carpet I'll be pissed. Sacks allowed by opponent: Team - Sacks/Games Sparty - 9/14 PSU - 8/12 Minny - 8/12 (six of those games were MarQueis Gray at QB) Iowa - 8/14 1 Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I'm going to say over, he'll get one against MSU, one against PSU, none against Minny, and 3 against Iowa. So that'll put him at 11.5 sacks for the year. Quote Link to comment
tmfr15
This is easy money. I am on the over as well. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Ten sounds about right. Push. Quote Link to comment
Warrior
Over.. they will see pocket passing QB's at a time when the Secondary looks to be figuring it out. Slow reads or no open WR means more sacks! Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Notice this thread is about Eric Martin. And it's started by a guy named Eric the Red. Eric Martin Eric the Red And they're never in the room together at the same time. Think about it. Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
What really sucks, is that it took this long to unleash the beast. Quote Link to comment
ESPY
I'll go with the over, just barely (10.5). Quote Link to comment
