It just shows that if we can get kids "here" we can recruit with anyone.... I think we pick up Newell, and this visit will go a long way to help our chances for Lamin (got to stay reserved though). Would be great to win both DT battles against South Carolina. Both mentioned end of August for commitment dates. Would be BIG for defensive recruiting if we can get back-to-back DT commits. The early morning games- simply kill off any chance to get many recruits in The deck is stacked against teams that have to go further away than 3-400 miles to get players. Dont look for anything to happen- or expect the bully SEC to get behind anything that will ethically improve recruiting- they have all those kids and $$ in their backyard Delaney needs to do all he can to make this happen 2 Quote Link to comment

That might work for the average family. However, many of these kids come from homes that have very little or nothing. So, it would be extremely difficult for them to pay for the trip (possibly up to 5 trips) and then wait for several months for the money. Quote Link to comment

The recruiting cycle is speeding-up and programs are filling much of their class before officials even start. There is no reason for the NCAA to not recognize that and act accordingly to move officials up to the summer. As you said Delaney needs to be leading the charge on this. Considering it not only makes sense but will add competitive balance it shouldn't be that hard of a sell. Quote Link to comment
