BigRedBuster
BS...nobody in the SEC would provide money to a player. This is nothing more than a which hunt. Quote Link to comment

Decked
Can we just pay our players already?? Would be nice if we could get some 4 and 5 stars for this defense. A couple DTs would do nicely. Quote Link to comment

If I were a media member, I would have immediately started asking questions about the situation, especially the things that he specifically said not to even ask about, just to get a soundbite of his pissy reaction. If the NCAA allows this then it just becomes a bidding war. Nebraska offered you $200/game. We'll pay you $300/game. Quote Link to comment

Starters the same as backups. Football players the same as softball players. No idea how they could sort that all out and make everyone happy. Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
This news is even less surprising than learning that congress got nothing done yet again today. Alabama cheating? Like anyone that matters would care. NCAA- the United Nations of the collegiate sports world. Quote Link to comment

Doesn't mean every school is going to follow that rule either. The SEC will have to make sure they keep getting the best players and the only way to do that is to pay more than another school Quote Link to comment
