EbylHusker
You could say they've taken the interpretation out of the hands of the refs but to me it seems like they've put more emphasis on the interpretation of the rule into the hands of the refs based on how the rule is written. Would another official have called that targeting? But I do agree, hits like SJBs are way more common and according to the rule, they should all be ejections. They need to place more emphasis on the malicious and intentional aspects of the rule and not just broad brush the entire rule I see what you're saying. Maybe what they should do is have the blanket high hit rule, then go to the replay to determine an ejection. That way refs don't have to decide if it's targeting or not, and the slow motion replay people can determine if it's malicious or especially dangerous rather than a normal high hit. I could live with that. Quote Link to comment
Army_Allen
First catch for Bell, and it's in the third?! Got to get it to him more with QE missing on three long balls. Only one of those was his fault. The other three were over throws. Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
It was a pretty good half. Some miscues on both sides but both sides recovered nicely. Except for the injury to Long Quote Link to comment
walksalone
ok, when I heard the opening keyboards for "Jump", I just thought, Purdue has an absolutely sh*tty organist at a football game? Quote Link to comment
walksalone
i've read the last 30 or 40 some odd posts, what has TA done to make the natives restless? His passing game is really struggling again. Miscommunications, over throws, throwing to a space where no receiver is. this upcoming week is going to be awesome... Quote Link to comment
Hercules
Man, do we have no confidence in our kickers? Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
Does anyone actually think the rule is good? Because I have yet to see a single fan who agrees with the rule. Claiming someone does without providing any evidence is pretty amusing. No but some are being pretentious "rules guys" and acting like they're better than the rest of us because they have such a "higher understanding" of rules. The rest of us are trying to watch some football and being prevented from doing that by the guys in black and white. I despise the rule. There are too many subjective rules Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
hmm, Bo going for it twice on fourth and one's in this game. Quote Link to comment
