There are always going to be high hits and there will be plays when the ball carrier ducks or lowers himself to brace for the hit putting the defender in a bad spot. Yeah, well I literally have yet to talk to anyone who feels the automatic ejection for "targeting" is a good thing. And I can't even recall hearing any of the talking heads thinking it was a good rule change. It seems to be a universally hated change to the rules. It's certainly a stupid rule. But if they're going to keep it, they really need to revamp it and make it less subjective Should not be an immediate ejection unless it's blatant.
