lo country
A "smart ball carrier" will dip down into the hit in an attempt to draw the call. I expect to see an increase in these calls as the season goes on simply because the offensive player trying to get low. Quote Link to comment
okaive
After watching that video and with the rules now, how many of our players would have been ejected? I count atleast a dozen times. Quote Link to comment

Bad thing is per the refs pre-season, it is a judgement call that "generally" will not be over turned. One "bad" call can now truly impact a game. Quote Link to comment

I am just happy that we aren't in the Texas 10 league or our entire starter line would be ejected. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
The Ole Miss player who just got ejected was targeting. SJB was a love tap by comparison. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
I could see tossing somebody out if it's blatant and particularly malicious. But incidental helmet-to-helmet contact like the SJB hit? That was surprising to me. Hundreds of players should be thrown out every week if they're going to be that nit-picky, and they wish to be consistent. Quote Link to comment
Danny Bateman
This is such a garbage rule. Period. I recognize the need to protect from concussions. Still a TRASH rule. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
The Ole Miss player who just got ejected was targeting. SJB was a love tap by comparison. And his ejection was overturned. Unbelievable. The subjectivity is what is ridiculous. Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
The Ole Miss player who just got ejected was targeting. SJB was a love tap by comparison. Ha! He wasn't ejected upon review! He actually launched up into the receiver unlike SJB! Edit: you beat me to it Quote Link to comment
huskerfan92
Un freaking real! The guy left his feet, led completely with his head on a defenseless receiver. That just upsets me #freeStanley (talking about the Ole Miss player, what Stanley did looked completely legal) Quote Link to comment
onlyHskrfaninIL
The Ole Miss player who just got ejected was targeting. SJB was a love tap by comparison. No he wasnt. Another horrible enforcement of a well meaning but very poorly thought out rule. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
I liked the part where Mavric was corrected by 3 people. Including Mavric. 6 Quote Link to comment
okaive
Was it SJB who did the suplex? I was shocked there was no flag for that. Quote Link to comment
