DrunkOffPunch
I wasn't personally there. Just wondering to the people who attended and stayed till the end, how loud was it and how does it compare to other moments in Memorial Stadium? Quote Link to comment
xkbubo
Just sit and wait, they are still celebrating over there and plus you know how the traffic is. Quote Link to comment
DrunkOffPunch
Just sit and wait, they are still celebrating over there and plus you know how the traffic is. Haha true. Probably a little too quick to it. After replaying it over and over I learned the play was under review. Didn't even hear the ref say it was under review. Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
I don't know how loud it was, but it was pandemonium in the student section. Absolutely nuts. Quote Link to comment
The Duke
The loudest I have ever heard Memorial Stadium in person is when Alex Henery kicked his 57 1/2 yard field goal against Colorado a few years ago. When the ball was in the air that college cathedral went dead quiet, and when the refs signaled that the kick was good, that place turned into a mad zoo. It felt like an earthquake just happened. Â I'm sure that's what it felt like today with the Kellogg to Westerkamp Hail Mary. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerNBigD
Just left the stadium, absolutely the loudest I've ever heard memorial stadium. Granted, I was in the south end zone but you would've thought we won a national championship. I'd say it even beats the 08 Colorado game, fortunate enough to be there for that one. What a hell of a play! GBR! Quote Link to comment
Huskurz
Very LOUD!! But, the loudest time at a game for me is still the 57 yard field goal by Alex Henery against Colorado. GBR!! 1 Quote Link to comment
CheeseHusker
I was in the stadium for Josh Brown's FG... that was pretty loud, but I suspect Henery's was louder. Â The only other memory I have that would compare would be Scott Strasburger's interception to ice the '82 Oklahoma game. Quote Link to comment
EZ-E
My friends and I dog piled with complete strangers. It was very loud. 09 OU was still the loudest I've ever heard. Could have been the spot I was sitting though. Quote Link to comment
OH HSKR FAN
Anyone here old enough that went to the 1978 Oklahoma game? Billy Sims fumbled the go ahead game winner 6 yards from the goal line. Quote Link to comment
RotoRiot
I agree with EZ, 09 OU was very loud from start to finish. It was awesome! Quote Link to comment
bale
Nothing (for me) compares to 09 OU from start to finish. And I was at 08 Colorado. I'm sure today was pretty damn special, though. Quote Link to comment
HuskerMack
I was 30 rows up from the catch and the place went nuts but 09 OU was louder. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Went to some early 90's OU and CU games as a little kid. Some before the HuskerVision days. Our crowd nowadays, and over the past 10 years or so, has nothing on the ruthless noise of the early 90's. But I guess it goes hand in hand with performance of course. Â As far as today, I just get so aggrevated by people leaving. NW calls timeout before the hail mary, I see numerous folks get up and head for the stair in the north stadium. What the hell. Youve been here 3 1/2 fricking hours. You cant sit tight for one more play? And the folks leaving with 3 and 4 minutes to go. Seriously. I'm so fed up. What's the hurry in leaving. Your going to a damn Nebraska game. I dont care if you live in Lincoln or not. What's the hurry to get home? Bo's right. I dont care. All I know is, i'm glad there was a great many that missed out on this moment. They dont deserve to see sh#t like this. 1 Quote Link to comment
