waylanm
At the Iowa game 3 buddies and I arrived in our seats right before kickoff. We stayed standing, yelling, and clapping for the first series. Right away 1st play I hear behind me SIT THE 'EFF DOWN! The next two plays same thing. I finally turn around and see this fine gentleman yelling these obscenities at us over his 10 year old son's head. I ask him if he's talking to us and he said YES, SIT THE 'EFF DOWN! NO ONE ELSE IS 'EFFING STANDING! I told my buddies "well, it looks like we're standing all game today!" I then looked around and he was right. Everyone around us was sitting on their hands, bored looking, not making a peep. I had noticed this at other games this year. It seems like the crowd isn't as into the game as years past. Is this an epidemic stadium wide, or is it just our section? (east stadium addition) 1995 redux.....add Korn, Blind to your list? Quote Link to comment
simplekin
My only real contribution to all of this, is that the, "SIT DOWN!!" people need to go fu@# off somewhere in Kansas. This whole attitude HAS to change. If you want to sit down and watch a game, stay the f@$k on your couch! I would much rather have 60,000 noisy people in that stadium than 100,000 zombies. To hell with the sell out streak in that case. Quote Link to comment
Decked
Please just sell your tickets if that's what you do. Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
i do not get the people that sit because it is almost physically impossible to sit one those bleachers. much better to stand than be squeezed in like sardines, your knees in someone's back, and so on and so forth. Quote Link to comment

At times the Iowa fans were a lot more rowdy than we were, I tried my damndest to keep my section in it for 4 quarters but I was the only one standing with 10 minutes left. And hell yes add Korn! PattyG
I still like the thought of playing Johnny Cash heading into the 4th Quote Link to comment
Foppa
If commercials in game are standard kets break the mold. Nobody wants to hear what the official bank of Husker Nation is, Nobody gets super pumped to find out Quincy Enunwa has a crush on Catwoman. Lets make the experience more awe i spiring and less fun facts. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
Some new song choices: (Mostly could be done instrumental to a better/age appropriate result) Powerman 5000 - Drop the Bombshell Volbeat - 7 Shots Jorge Quintero - 300 Violin Orchestra Eminem - Cinerella Man Korn - Here to Stay Linkin Park - One Step Closer Metallica - Orion Metallica - Ride the Lighning Orgy - Blue Monday Pantera - Cemetary Gates Ozzy Osbourne - Gets Me Through Rob Zombie - Superbeast You obviously don't have anything to do with the stadium medical staff. Might as well throw a couple of grenades around Memorial while you're at it. Quote Link to comment

They need to announce over the loud speaker and put on video boards something saying if someone wants to stand and cheer all game its their perogative and anyone telling them to sit down will be escorted out of the stadium. Okay, the last part maybe not but inform people that fans standing is a good thing. 1 Quote Link to comment
Hooked on Huskers
my wishful ideas: - return to acrobatic cheerleaders (high altitude tossing, tumbling, pyramid, etc.) - replace surface from injury-prone FieldTurf to natural grass - tear down south and north stadiums and then build a two deck design Quote Link to comment
JTrain
KISS CAM!!! BJ cam!! Lets spice things up. I would post a clip from the movie 'Old School'...but I better not. Once it hits your lips, it's so good... ? Quote Link to comment

icedavis
JTrain my mistake. I thought you were sarcastically criticizing that one song/sound byte (is that from an actual song? I don't even know) specifically and I didn't get why. I agree with your point, now that I actually understand what it is If you are talking about the same song I am, then it's from the Mark Wahlberg film, Rockstar: KISS CAM!!! You go ahead I saw a couple get on Kiss Cam at a Twins game once, where they saw they were on and the guy immediately grabs the girl by the back of the head and pushes it into her lap while cheering, as if that was the intent. The crowd erupted in laughter and needless to say the video crew cut away almost immediately. Quote Link to comment
clyde40
Anything that would make the opposing fans say, "I don't care if they want to buy me a beer after the game, we're getting the hell out of Lincoln." Quote Link to comment
