I don't think I have ever seen a single alternate uniform design for Nebraska that was any good. I really think the only good alternates would be throwbacks. 1 Quote Link to comment
grandpasknee Posted December 23, 2013 Share Posted December 23, 2013 I'm not against skipping the alternate stuff entirely, but if we do it for one game again, I think we need to stand out. Do something entirely different with the helmet and uniform as opposed to just modifying it a little and splashing in some black. There was a rather vicious looking Herbie picture several years back, I think I'd like that better, but this is at least a new look. Then, reading comments about Lil Red I envisioned Herbie on one side of the helmet and Lil Red on the other. I threw up in my mouth a little. I'm good with the block letter red N I guess.... Makes it look too much like we are living in the past. One thing I would like to see on our regular unis is an outline of the state of Nebraska on the back of the jersey above the player's name. Several teams do it and I think it's cool. Don't we already do that on a regular basis anyway? Quote Link to comment
