huskerfan92
Whatever it was I thought it was a good call by Beck, if Newby catches that he had some room to run Quote Link to comment

irafreak
I've heard A-C...always called it A. It's one of my favorite plays. Suck in the pass rush and pitch it forward... Quote Link to comment
unebch
The correct answer is A. Shovel Or Utah pass if you were a college football fan in 1957 The others are incorrect as fans simply misheard "Shovel" as "Shuffle" or "Shuttle" And yes, Tom Osborne used this to great effect with Ahman Green in the mid 1990s Quote Link to comment

I thought the first person (that didn't know football) I ever heard call it that was an idiot, but I've since heard it enough times not to question it. It might not be an official term, but words become acceptable for whatever usage they are put to by enough people. Quote Link to comment

When you don't get a lot of touches, you've gotta make the most of what you get. Was less than impressed w/ Newby this year - considering how well some of our recent freshman backs have performed.
