StPaulHusker
I was thinking TE. At 6-8 and 240 with his speed, that would be a force 1 Quote Link to comment

DE or TE imo Just read in the OWH that the plan for now is at DE. A lot of guys are really high on this kid's potential, apparently lots of upside. Quote Link to comment
Treand3
@Sean_Callahan: Back in February Jay Ball told me one coach said "you are going to get a lot of people coming to Central looking at this young man (Neal)." The interview I linked in post 4 has that quote. Neal had been getting attention from Oklahoma St and just got back from a visit this week. Okie St coaches down there were surprised Nebraska had not found him earlier. Word also that ucla is sticking their nose in too. Quote Link to comment
Redmusky
6'8" 240 and still growing and best thing is he really wanted to be a husker Quote Link to comment
Haspula
When you click the 247 link it will show a column to the right called "skills" and it rates the recruit on different skill sets out of 9 possible points (size, frame, quickness). Is there a description on how they determined each skill? Pretty sure if you are a 6'7-6'8 240lbs DE that should get you 9/9 on size instead of 8/9 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
247 Rating Explanation (free): Neal we rated as an 84 or a mid to low 3-star. He's more of a projection. Love his length. He's got a pretty good get-off and obviously with his frame he can develop into a really unique prospect. We had a chance to see him out at the NIke Camp over the weekend though and it's clear that he's not there yet. He's tall and skinny and a little bit uncoordinated right now. Will be fun to see what kind of a senior year he has. If he starts to organize his body a little bit, he could be a guy to take another look at in October. Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
Interview with one of the Central HS coaches (Lance Griffin, I think) on Sharp and Benning yesterday talking about Daishon Neal. Seems high on him (not too surprising) but also mentioned Neal will play TE this year, in addition to his DE position. April 10 Seg 8 The New Nebraska Recruits Quote Link to comment

HuskersBeatIowa
Very happy to have Neal. I have a feeling when he plays TE as well his senior year his recruiting will blossom just because of his potential on both sides of ball. His frame is to hard to ignore, and id be SHOCKED if he wasnt rated by all 3 services after he gets into a few camps, and senior season begins! GBR nice get Quote Link to comment
