hskrfan4life
I just hope Bo is still the firey guy on the sidelines. I don't mind when he goes after refs, I would just prefer he not swing his hat at them or touch them. Sometimes yelling at the refs is needed and warranted. AKA Tim Miles! Quote Link to comment
Landlord
and frankly, no one (reasonably) ever said bo is bad. i agree with polo that a lot of this seems forced. and none of it is evidence of anything other than bo is working on his public image. but a lot of it is fun. and i always thought bo was a good guy in private. it is just nice that he finally realized that his public image is just as important since he is, you know, the face of the program. Is it consistent to think this is forced but to also think that bo is a good guy? Maybe not. Regardless, Ron Kellogg did an interview remarking on how it's not just a PR campaign and how Bo has really been an entirely different person since January. Just one person's first-hand informed opinion. Quote Link to comment

zoogs
Nothing wrong with a PR campaign. It's just what the doctor ordered. To expect a complete metamorphosis is probably unrealistic, but that doesn't mean there wasn't ground to be made, or that that hasn't happened. A Husker staff member giving an interview is pretty much the definition of public relations though, so polo's got a point. Quote Link to comment

Hooked on Huskers
We need to slip in strong barbiturate potion in Bo's Aquafina bottle just before Husker games and then another dosage in postgame presser. Any volunteers? Quote Link to comment

Redux
RIP Bo aint so bad thread.......youve been Polo/Skrd it is just funny that the same people who claimed that we do not care what other people think of bo all of a sudden think it is good evidence. and frankly, no one (reasonably) ever said bo is bad. i agree with polo that a lot of this seems forced. and none of it is evidence of anything other than bo is working on his public image. but a lot of it is fun. and i always thought bo was a good guy in private. it is just nice that he finally realized that his public image is just as important since he is, you know, the face of the program. I stand by it. I could care less what a Bruin fan or a Bama fan really thinks if its completely untrue. If they hate Nebraska because they think our coach is the devil so be it. If they respect us but not our coach thats fine. If they like everything about us then awesome. And my main point was that Bo is classy and Im not just talking the PR stuff. 1 Quote Link to comment
Saunders
since when do we care about what other people think about our coach? certainly not when it is negative. I remember a great many fans not giving two squirts of piss what people thought about us. Winning things tend to bring that feeling out. And for the record there is no shortage of national write ups that wonder aloud why NU is putting up with Bo. That is not anecdotal. There's also quite a few that have written that they like the guy... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You know what no one likes? Your sig Now my sig knows what it's like to be you... Quote Link to comment

Just one person's first-hand informed opinion. Who played for and works for Bo so... if he has been an "entirely different person", that means this is not who he was before? he was a jerk and classless until january? i mean, we are all saying that he is now class and a great guy, so it stands to reason that if he is now entirely different than before, he was not those things before. seems kind of harsh. That might be reading a bit much into an inoccuous figure of speech... seems to me that Kellogg was simply saying that Bo has changed and clearly the context suggests that he means changed in a good way. That is, of course, very nice to hear. People do change and people can grow. Kellogg seems to be suggesting that such is the case for Bo as he sees it. Again, great to hear. We should be encouraged by this. Quote Link to comment
