Mavric
AA gains some ground in ESPN's poll. Still fourth but picked up more votes, including a second-place vote for the first time. Basically, that poll has Gurley and Mariota tied at the top while Cooper and AA are very close for third. A good performance this week should turn even more heads. Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
@JoshHarveyScout: Cobb has 10+ carries, 25 less yards, and 3 less TDs than @Ameerguapo, who could have run for 300, but Gopher fans mad about B1G POW #Huskers You mad, bro? we also played a better team.I can see their argument, though. They beat Michigan for only the second time in 20+ years. And they did it with Cobb carrying them. In the Big House. Not saying he should have won but the argument could be made. Ameer did this in one half (plus one play) of football. I can't say Cobb outperformed Ameer in any phase. I didn't say that Cobb outperformed anyone. I just said that Cobb put a team on his back and went on the road in a hostile environment and beat Michigan for only the 3rd time in almost 30 years. The argument is valid. I'm not saying he should have won. My retort was to Gopher fans not you. You were simply providing their argument. #Don'tShootTheMessenger Quote Link to comment

Landlord
I've gotta say I don't think Ameer deserves it over Marcus Mariota. That dude is a transcendent talent imo Quote Link to comment

Basically, that poll has Gurley and Mariota tied at the top while Cooper and AA are very close for third. A good performance this week should turn even more heads. And a mediocre performance shouldn't disqualify anyone. But man, the volatility of these polls suggest little margin of error. The reigning Heisman trophy winner put up massive numbers in a legitimate conference win and remains off most lists. Missing a game seems to have hurt Gordon. And where the hell did Hundley come from? Quote Link to comment

Guy Chamberlin
Gotta admit, it's interesting that the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, who threw for 365 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday, doesn't make the nine player cut. Quote Link to comment

Well when you get suspended for a game, that usually will sway a voter or 2 Quote Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
They're the same voters who voted Jameis in last year, when he was merely accused of sexual assault. But character might be more of an issue this year, and we can give the NFL some credit for that. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
One of you twitterers (twits? twatters?) should put the idea of character/integrity in Herbstreit's head, when he talks about Abdullah's Heisman chances on Saturday. That's something that has clearly been lacking the last couple years, for sure. Quote Link to comment
