louisianared Posted October 5, 2014 Share Posted October 5, 2014 It seems like the Spartans are a better all-around team and we're playing about as expected considering we've seen all these flaws in almost every game. I'm a little surprised that we haven't had more success on straight handoffs , but the lack of yards on zone read doesn't surprise me with the MSU defenders holding their positions well and going after both guys. I thought we'd expect this and get our open field runners the ball with screens. Also, do we have a TE? Our corners don't seem to ever know where the ball is, but that's nothing new either. Agree with all of this I do think we need to be more agresive on D though Quote Link to comment

Yes..Tommy has made some horrible throws. But really...top to bottom...I'm thinking they are just a level above us in coaching, skills, etc. Not going to throw my Husker flag in the trash over this game. I do want to see this team not give up. f#*k that. We've had every opportunity field position-wise and blew it. That's why Tim Beck has a goose egg on the scoreboard right now. This. This is on the players. The open receivers are there. We don't have a QB that can hit themUm misdirection, FB screen, trap, draw, reverse, TE drag etc..... He's doing nothing to negate the rush. He is outclassed and an idiot The open recievers have been there. Big gains have been there for the taking. The right plays have been called and our QB misses wide open guys by 5 yards. Beck has adjusted. Tommy Armstrong can't throw a footbal accurately And you have a qb clearly rattled...so you have to try something that doesn't rely on him making those passes...easy yes but right now it's not working.
