What is our second most impressive win?

Right now the top four in the XII is better than the Big Ten.

You can't tell me that if you matched them up according to rank and had them play that you would favor the 4 Big 12 teams ahead of the 4 B1G teams in a game.

But that's my point. If the XII is laughable weak and doomed to fold, the B1G is too.

But this isn't the point you made. Your literal statement was that the top 4 of the Big 12 is BETTER than the top 4 of the B1G. And that isn't true by a mile.

I don't know what the f@$! happened in this thread . . . but circling back around . . . it's pretty crazy that we have only 3 games left in the regular season and we really have no idea what sort of team we have. None. We could lose every one of the next three or we could win them all. Neither would be that surprising, would it? We have a single loss on the season and an objective viewer could watch every snap of our games and wonder if we should actually be ranked in the top 25. That's crazy.

Is that purely a product of our schedule? Or is it at least partially due to the maddeningly consistent inconsistency of Nebraska teams over the past years?

I'm pretty sure if we checked back to the pre-season threads, most were in agreement that we had four "tougher" games on the schedule and eight games we "should" win. We have played seven of the teams were were expected to beat and did. We have played two of the "tougher" games and gone 1-1. I really don't think it's that surprising that our second best win is hard to determine. Alabama is in pretty much the same boat and they play in supposedly the toughest division in toughest conference.

I mean, I've seen Nebraska play, and I've seen Bama and the sec west play, and I feel pretty comfortable saying we aren't similar.

Me too, and I'm pretty confident in saying that we are.

Our second most impressive win will be whoever we beat in the next 3 games.

Pretty much. Wisconsin could be a great win.

it was not for LSU.

This is my problem with the SEC/ESPN bias. The only reason to me why the teams in the SEC are highly rated is because they get talked about non-stop by ESPN and made to look invisible. Miss St, Ole Miss and A&M were/are rated at one time in the top 5 but not one of them played a P5 OOC game. A&M beats a preseason top team in South Carolina and they go from unranked to #10. Miss St. beats LSU, who had issues with lowly Wisconsin and they go from unranked to top 15. Ole Miss is the only team out of the 3 that started in the top 25 and gained spots for beating Bama. Lsu goes from #25 to 15th for beating Ole Miss. That same Ole Miss team didn't drop because of the loss but ND loses to #1 FSU and they drop 6 spots.

It's almost like Wisconsin started out the year poorly, and has gotten better over the season. But it will be interesting to see how we jump if we beat Wisconsin, I doubt it will be as large of a jump as LSU got.

maybe. maybe it is just a product of playing in the big 10.

and maybe lsu jumped up because they have gotten better over the season.

So much benefit of the doubt to the SEC, but if a B1G team succeeds it's because of playing in the B1G.

Maybe Ole Miss really wasn't that good of a team, and the SEC isn't as good as they are made out to be. I mean, Indiana beat a team that will be playing in the SEC championship game (2nd year running). How does this fit into your narrative?

maybe. but i was applying the benefit of the doubt equally.

and maybe ole miss is not that good. who knows? i would say they are too high in the playoff picture right now. but there position is arguable. they have as good a resume as any team they are ahead of.

i am not so sure about mizzou winning their division, but i do not think there is much argument that the sec east is pretty weak.

i am not sure what narrative i am propagating.
